Deep Field Expedition

A ready-to-play space survival pack built around Deep Field: build rockets, fly to the Moon, Mars and beyond, survive hazards on alien worlds, and run industry and bases in space, with a bit of Create and plenty of quality-of-life mods alongside. It's tuned for smooth performance, so it also runs on weaker PCs and works well on a server with friends.

What's inside

  • Deep Field: rockets, planets and moons, star systems, suits and oxygen, industry, farming, bases, bosses and the trip films.
  • Create: Create 6 with Crafts & Additions, Enchantment Industry, Slice & Dice, Create Jetpack, Copycats+ and Central Kitchen.
  • Storage: Sophisticated Backpacks, Sophisticated Storage and Tom's Simple Storage.
  • Food and building: Farmer's Delight, all six Macaw's mods, Supplementaries, Amendments, Handcrafted, Chipped and FramedBlocks.
  • Exploration: Explorer's Compass, Nature's Compass, Explorify and Falling Leaves.
  • Quality of life: JEI, Jade, AppleSkin, Mouse Tweaks, Inventory Essentials, Crafting Tweaks, Polymorph, Simple Voice Chat, Ping Wheel, Essential and more.
  • Performance: Sodium, Iris, Lithium, FerriteCore, ModernFix, Entity Culling, ImmediatelyFast, Dynamic FPS, BadOptimizations, AllTheLeaks and more.

Shaders and resource packs

  • Shaders: Complementary Reimagined is on by default. Complementary Unbound and MakeUp Ultra Fast are included too. On a weaker PC, pick MakeUp Ultra Fast in the shader menu, or press K to turn shaders off.
  • Resource packs: Fresh Animations and Bee's Fancy Crops are on by default.
  • Deepfield 32x: the official 32x textures for Deep Field are installed but switched off. Turn them on under Options → Resource Packs.

Requirements

  • RAM: 8 GB recommended, 6 GB minimum. Set it in the CurseForge app under the profile's options.
  • Loader: NeoForge 21.1.264, Minecraft 1.21.1.

Running a server

These mods are client-only. Leave them out of the server's mods folder:

Sodium, Iris, Sodium Extra, Reese's Sodium Options, Entity Culling, ImmediatelyFast, Dynamic FPS, BadOptimizations, Entity Model Features, Entity Texture Features, Essential, Chat Heads, Mouse Tweaks, Falling Leaves, Controlling, Searchables, Toast Control, Better Advancements, Catalogue, Just Enough Effect Descriptions and Enchantment Descriptions.

Pre-generating the world with Chunky (/chunky radius 2000, then /chunky start) keeps the server smooth while you explore.
