About
Description
Die simulator is an extremely difficult modpack, if not the hardest modpack. It is lightweight with only 35 mods, but it significantly changes the game, most notably the difficulty. You may find it very frustrating to survive even your first day. This modpack was designed to be stupidly hard, so do not take it too seriously. Your objective should be to survive as many days as possible rather than defeating the enderdragon.
Features:
Bloodmoon Every Night
Every night will be a bloodmoon, an event where hordes of hostile mobs will spawn everywhere.
Hardcore Darkness
Every night will be pitch black darkness. You won't be able to see anything without proper lighting (or nightvision). It will also be pitch black in spaces that are completely enclosed and have no lighting (e.g. caves and parts of the nether).
The Sun is a Deadly Laser
You will now burn in sunlight unless you are wearing a solar hood and cloak, which protect from the sun but lose durability overtime when in sunlight. Crafting recipe is bookmarked for you in Just Enough Items.
Health System
Each part of your body (limbs, torso, and head) has a different health bar. There is also no natural regeneration. An arrow to the head can be an instant-kill.
Thirst, Temperature, and Food Rotting.
There is now a thirst bar, requiring you to drink water to survive. The thirst bar depletes much faster than the hunger bar. There is also a temperature system which means you can die from hypothermia/hyperthermia. Your player's temperature can be affected by the biome you're in or by fire and lava. There is also a food rotting system which means food no longer lasts forever and will rot after a period of time.
Mobs and AI
Zombies, skeletons, and zombie pigmen may now be armed with guns. Skeletons are also extremely accurate with bows. You may hear arrows hitting the ground near you without knowing where they are coming from. Spiders can now efficiently and quickly climb on walls and ceilings to reach the player. Non-hostile animals like pigs, sheep, cows, and chickens will now become hostile and attack in groups upon being hit by the player. Most hostile mobs now have the ability to place ignited TNT and may use it to dig to you. There are also parasite nests that spawn in nearly every biome in the overworld and often are near the world spawn. You may be immediately chased and hunted down by parasites shortly after spawning in. Parasites are mobs that come in many forms and sizes. Parasites are one of the most dangerous mobs you can encounter.
Realistic Tree Chopping
You can no longer punch a tree for wood. You must first craft a flint axe to chop down your first tree. Crafting recipe is bookmarked for you in Just Enough Items.
Realistic Torches
Torches no longer last forever and will go out over time. Torches, when first crafted, will also begin unlit. Craft a matchbox to light a torch. Crafting recipe is bookmarked for you in Just Enough Items.
