Description
What is "Don't tread on my Beta"?
"Don't tread on my Beta" is a modpack that revolves around the core aspects of old school minecraft versions including everything that made me fell in love with them. this modpacks aims for simplicity with a slight direction towards the exploration of our beloved classic dimension mods (the aether and the twilight forest). it also aims to bring back the old aesthetics of beta minecraft with the bright grass textures and other nostalgia filled additions.
What changes does it bring to the table?
1)rebalance of the enchantment system with removal of polarising enchantments to encourage variety. enchantments like mending and unbreaking are removed but to compensate that all tools see a massive increase in durability. anvil cost is removed meaning you'll alway be able to repair your tools with the use of some of the material that composes them
2)pre 1.9 combat sees a big return and goes back to its former glory. swords have no cooldowns and can be used to block hits. this change affects only swords to avoid axes being a preferrable option as a melee weapon.
3)simpler world generation to match the beta aesthetic. the biomes that came after are reworked to fit more the old envoirement.
