Description

Overview

This modpack is a sort of fever dream creation. It's a really (surprisingly) optimized modpack centered around the Create mod and Valkyrien Skies. Yet, it also features new overworld mobs, and many more structures to explore. The pack is meant to be played multiplayer with friends, and as much includes e4mc.

Create

Included with the pack are Create 6.0 and a few other addons. In particular, Create structures and Create LTAB. Unfortunately, Valkyrien Skies haven't released an updated compatible with Create 6.0 yet, but it seems fitting enough to the adventure aspect of the pack to be included later. Since 2.2.0-beta, the mod pack is quite centered around Create. In fact, diamonds are only consistently available through a Create recipe. A suite of addons have also been added to support ship building via VS2.

Adventure time

The pack includes Alex's Caves and Alex's Mobs (and the interaction addon). Along with the structures added by the noted Create addons in the previous section, this should provide a few things to explore about. Lithosphere had been considered but rejected as a part of the pack. It provides flatter and strangely relaxing terrain for both exploration and building. However, the datapack adds half a minute of world loading time and, frankly, I got annoyed. Since 2.2.0-beta, naturalist and explorify has replaced Alex's Cave & Mobs, and Create structure addons in faver of simplicity and game balancing.

Da bosses

As of right now, there is only Bosses'Rise in the pack. I am still unsure if it fully fits the scope of the pack. Depending on the feedback, it could potentially be removed, or be paired with a few more of similar mods. Since 2.2.0-beta, ender trigon has been added instead of Bosses'Rise. The other bosses were simply not worth fighting.

Some final notes

During my testing, I was always able to get 60+ FPS with my M2 Macbook Air, with 4GB of ram allocated and with fast rendering. I believe one of the biggest bottlenecks is the world generation (as it typically is, it seems D:). I have not encountered any other outstanding issues so far.
