Description

Dungeons & Dining & Dragons & MoreOverview

Dungeons and Dining and Dragons and More is a slightly hardcore modpack with a heavy emphasis on immersion. The main goals of the modpack are to increase adventuring, immersion, and survival elements which it does with ~100 mods. This pack is low fantasy and starts off quite difficult while letting you get progressively more powerful.

 Adventure

This category is the most exciting in terms of gameplay and includes:

  • Ice and Fire: Dragons - I'd say this is the core mod of the pack, in my opinion it is one of the best single mods in existence but it is also extremely resource intensive.
  • End Remastered - Changes the way players access The End as well as changes The End itself. Players have to collect unique Ender Eyes from certain locations.
  • BetterEnd - Also changes The End, with new biomes/blocks/mobs.
  • When Dungeons Arise - Adds new structures/dungeons to the world full of mobs/loot.
  • Dungeons Plus  - Adds more new structures/dungeons to the world.
  • Toad Terror - Adds a unique and rare toad boss.
  • Corrupted Witherskeleton Boss Mod - Adds a final boss to The End that you must summon yourself.
  • Stoneholm, Underground Villages - Are largely aesthetic but as the name implies they add underground villages with villagers/mobs/loot.
  • Bountiful - Adds a bounty board at villages where you can accept "bounties" in return for loot.
  • Towers of the Wild: Reloaded - Towers reminiscent of those found in Breath of the Wild that contain a Waystone and some loot on top
  • Waystones - Teleporters
  • Antique Atlas - Adds a craftable atlas that you can pin locations on, an all around upgrade to the standard map.
  • Antique Waystones - automatically pins a found waystone to your Atlas.
  • BetterNether Reforged - adds many new mobs, plants, items, and environments into the nether.
  • Dungeon Crawl - a fantastic "roguelike" inspired dungeon mod
  • Twist - adds a few new biomes, mobs, and items that simulate burned biomes.
  • YUNG's Better Dungeons - adds a few new interesting dungeons to the game.
  • BrassAmber BattleTowers - Towers of mobs and loot

 Immersion

 Survival

Essential Survival - Gameplay Changing Mods That You Must Know

  • ItemPhysic - The player must crouch or right click an item on the ground to pick it up. Many items now sink, many items no longer burn.
  • No Tree Punching - You can't punch trees or craft wooden tools. Punch leaves to get sticks and break gravel for flint. Then make a flint knife and use it on grass to get plant fibers which you use to make a flint axe / flint pickaxe. Ta da, you can now chop trees / mine stone.
  • First Aid - The vanilla health system is replaced with individual body part health levels. You no longer heal with nourishment, instead with bandages/potions/sleep/etc. This mod increases the difficulty tremendously (at least in the beginning), if your head or body go down to 0 hearts, you die.
  • Scaling Health - adds heart crystals and power crystals that the player can consume to increase health and increase power, respectively.
  • Consecration - undead mobs are incredibly tanky as well as regen, until they take fire/holy damage in the form of flint and steel, fire stick, fire arrow, Smite, Silver weapons and Potion of Consecration.
  • YUNG's Better Portals - changes nether portals to now be found underground, and getting back to the overworld requires finding a similar portal in the nether.
  • Spice of Life: Potato Edition - having a varied diet will grant the player various buffs including more health or health regeneration.
  • Global GameRules - there is no starting spawn point, players spawn in a large area around world spawn and cannot view coordinates in the debug menu.
  • GUI Compass - having a compass in your inventory causes your coordinates to show on your screen.
  • BountifulBaubles - adds many unique equipment with interesting effects, you'll want most of these.
  • Champions - adds a chance for mobs to have "legendary" effects such as: "plagued" which adds a poison cloud around the mob, "infested" where being attacked by the mob causes silverfish to spawn.
  • Mutant Beasts - adds a chance for mobs to be a mutated, essentially boss version, of themselves.
  • Undefeatables - adds a chance for mobs to be have a boss bar, much higher health, and much higher damage.
  • XP Tome - adds a craftable tome players can store up to 30 levels of xp in, very useful for enchanting and rereskillable
  • Disenchanting - adds a disenchanting table to remove enchants
  • Harder Spawners - mob spawners are finite, take longer to break, destroy nearby light sources, and may poison/wither the person breaking them
  • Pandoras Creatures- adds many new mobs and items (beware of the Acidic Archvine, especially in the Nether)
  • XP From Harvest - you are now given XP from breaking fully grown crops.

Non-Essential Survival

  • Farmer's Delight - the dining part of the modpack, adds many new foods that can give you various buffs such as slowness immunity (to circumvent the negative effects from First Aid)
  • Create - An amazing mod that adds a ton of aesthetic machinery (in my opinion another contender for single best mod).
  • Brazier - adds an item lootable from jungle pyramids
  • HT's TreeChop - cutting the bottom of trees, makes the rest of the tree "fall"
  • Fixed Anvil Repair Cost - Repairing with an anvil uses a set amount of levels and wont cut into enchantment cost, repair as much as you'd like
  • Spartan Weaponry - adds many new weapons
  • Spartan Shields - adds new shields
  • Enhanced Celestials - occasionally experience blood moons where players cant sleep and mob cap is raised as well as harvest moons where crop growth and yield is raised
  • Upgraded Netherite - players can upgrade netherite armour and tools to add new effects
  • Ensorcellation - adds new enchants
  • Comforts - craftable sleeping bags that don't set your spawn
  • SwingThroughGrass - Weapons can swing through grass, bet you didnt expect that
  • Tool Belt - adds a craftable tool belt that players can place tools in to functionally increase inventory space
  • Craftable Horse Armor and Saddle - name says it all
  • Extract Poison - players can extract poison from cave spiders, pufferfish, and bees by right clicking with a glass bottle
  • Happy Trails - Players move faster on trails
  • Storage Drawers - adds a new type of "chest"
  • More Storage Drawers - adds new wood types to the Storage Drawers mod
  • Small Ships - adds new types of ships with storage and multiple seats for players to sail around with.

 Technical

  • Just Enough Items - a must have in modpacks, adds a search bar for items as well as providing uses and recipes
  • Inventory Sorter - a big quality of life change, press in middle mouse (by default) and your chest or inventory auto sorts
  • Performant - makes the modpack run much much smoother on servers
  • Login Protection - gives players a brief window of invulerability when logging in to the game
  • Light Overlay - Pressing F7 brings up an overlay showing light levels
  • Mouse Tweaks - adds mouse functionallity
  • Neat - Adds health bars for mobs
  • Enchantment Descriptions - pressing shift while hovering an enchanted book tells you what the enchant does (most of the time)
  • AttributeFix - fixes some numbers
  • CraftTweaker - allows recipe changes for the pack creator
  • Curios - allows players to wear/use baubles
  • Spawner Bug Fix - fixes a spawner specific lag issue
  • Open Loader - transfers the needed datapacks and resource packs into the players worlds
  • Tips - adds custom tips to the loading screen.

Library Mods Are Not Listed

Current plans:

  • Create classes type mod
  • Integrate OTBYG woods with other mods
  • add more boss mods
  • increase spawns from Toad Terror (does not seem to be possible)
