Description

DUSKHEIM

A World on the Edge of Madness

The sun sets, and the world holds its breath. The creeping darkness of DuskHeim is no mere absence of light—it is a force, a presence, a hunter. The deeper the night, the more it takes from you. Your mind frays. Your sanity slips. Shadows twist into horrors that were never meant to exist. If you linger too long in the black, you may never return.

But the night is not your only enemy. Every step you take, the world tightens its grip. The cold seeps into your bones if you're unprepared. The heat scorches flesh in the wrong lands. Thirst gnaws at you, demanding clean water, and the food you scavenge might not be enough to keep you standing. Even if you endure, your body is fragile—wounds do not simply heal with time. A broken leg means death if you can’t mend it. A shattered arm means you’ll never swing your sword in time. Every part of you can fail, and in DuskHeim, failure is fatal.

And then there are the things that hunt you.

There are whispers of seven horrors, each born from the vilest depths of human nature. No one knows where they came from, only that they exist to feed, to torment, and to embody the sins they were named for. Pride sees you before you see it. Greed takes what you cherish most. Wrath never stops hunting. The others? If you are unfortunate enough to meet them, you won’t live long enough to name them.

You are never truly safe. The Dwellers come without warning. They have no pattern, no logic—only hunger. One moment, you are alone. The next, something is breathing just behind you. It may be watching you now.

You will hear its footsteps before you see it—slow, deliberate, and unrelenting. The Pale Hound does not chase. It does not rush. It only follows. You cannot outrun it forever. And once it locks onto your scent, you will never truly be alone again.

Some things in DuskHeim simply should not exist. The Anomalies do not follow the laws of nature, or even the twisted rules of this world. They bend reality in ways you will not understand until it is too late. Stay away from places where it feels… wrong. Do not trust what you see in the corner of your eye. Some of these things are not meant to be looked at directly.

Even the land itself is against you. Some places do not welcome the living. Forests where the trees seem to breathe. Wastelands where the air burns the lungs. Frozen tundras where the ice hides something moving beneath. Step carefully—one wrong move, and the very ground beneath your feet might decide it does not want you here.

The creatures that hunt you do not remain stagnant. They change. They learn. They grow. The longer you survive, the stronger they become, until the weapons that once saved you are nothing more than desperate gestures against an unstoppable force.

You are not the first to walk this path. You will not be the last. But if you are wise, if you are careful, if you fight with everything you have—you may be one of the few to survive.

Welcome to DuskHeim. Beware the twilight.
