Description

Essentially a dumbed down version of RLCraft with many of the same mods. These mods support a more realistic experience and is prolly just for me and my friends. Credits to the Perspective Mod Redux by Cynosphere for helping me set up the thumbnail, but other than that, enjoy, and SUPPORT the original creators of these mods!!! Mods and what they do from most impacting on the game to least impacting: -No Tree Punching by AlcatrazEscapee This is a Minecraft mod meant to add a little more believability to your first few minutes of play. It was initially inspired by features from TerraFirmaCraft, but has since been refocused around the titular idea: Blocks don't drop anything if broken without the correct tool. In order to cope with this, there are several new features: Leaves can be harvested without a tool for sticks (this is a vanilla feature, but will be very important here. Gravel can be mined without a tool, and enables you to aquire flint. Flint can be knapped on an exposed stone surface, obtaining flint shards. A Flint Knife can now be crafted, allowing you to harvest plant materials for plant fibers and craft plant string. A Flint Axe can enable you to collect wood and build a crafting table. A Flint pickaxe, hoe and shovel will serve as early game tools, while you can create a Macuahutil for a good early game weapon. Later on in the game, there are also a couple other additions and changes which fit the stylistic theme of this mod Vanilla recipes for wooden and stone tools have been removed. The vanilla campfire recipe as been removed, and instead it is crafted using a Fire Starter. Pottery can be created using a Clay Tool on a block of clay, forming it to shape before firing it in a campfire or a furnace. Knives are a new tool available in all vanilla tool materials, and can be used as weak swords, as a crafting tool, or a plant harvester. Saws are a weaker version of an axe which are used as crafting items, and are essential for converting wood into planks and planks into sticks. Mattocks are the ultimate all-in-one tool. They can mine blocks as if they were a shovel, axe, or hoe, and can strip wood like an axe, till grass like a hoe, and make paths like a shovel. (The latter two functions sometimes conflict and can be chosen by sneaking). -First Aid by ichttt First Aid is a game changing mod focused around a new health system. The old health bar got replaced by 8 different health regions, so your Head, Body, Legs and Feet have their own health bar. This mod disables vanilla health regeneration by default. This effect stays even if you remove the mod. It can be changed in the config or by typing /gamerule naturalRegeneration true. Healing can be done by using bandages or plaster. When you right click them in your inventory, you get a GUI where you can choose where you want to apply it. You will die as soon as your head or body health drop to zero. Certain debuffs may apply when your limbs get damaged, so when e.g. your feet get damaged, you will get a constant slowness debuff, or when your head gets hit servere enough, blindness and/or nausea will apply for a short time. All debuffs can be supressed by morphine. When you take morphine, no health debuffs will apply while it is active, but as soon as the effect runs out, your constant debuffs will reappear. Armor calculation has also been changed: If your legs get hit, only the armor of your legs will be taken into account. But because the armor value of a typical helmet is much lower than a chestplate, these values get multiplied with a factor So armor for your head and body are very important if you want to survive. -Tough As Nails by TheAdubbz Tough as Nails is a mod adding more realistic features which include but are not limited to: Thirst system Body temperature system New blocks, items, and armor for regulating the new systems Im lazy so im not going to bother explaining every item in this mod so just use JEI (which is also in this modpack). -Better Survival mod by block_vader This mod adds additional enchantments and melee weapons to Minecraft. This puts more strategy to combat since certain weapons are better in certain situations. It also gives players much more possibilities how to enchant their items. Hammer: This is a very strong two-hand weapon, but also the slowest. It has much stronger knockback than other weapons and can stun enemy upon hit for a few seconds. And if you are facing multiple enemies... well, you can use the slam attack. Right click on the ground to damage, stun and knock back all enemies around you. It also craks nearby blocks, if they have a cracked version. However, this attack has a long cooldown and costs a lot of durability. Nunchaku: Nunchaku is a quite weak weapon and it has almost no knockback. However, it's incredibly fast. You can also hold attack key to let it spin and attack automatically with highest possible speed. It can spin indefinitely damaging enemies you are aiming, while it's damage increases over time. Dagger: Weaker than sword, but faster and cheaper. Also, if you hit enemy from behind with this weapon, it deals massive amount of extra damage. Ideal in PvP for surprise attacks. Battle Axe: Normal axe might look like a reasonable weapon, but this two-hand version is certainly better. Not only it can be enchanted as a weapon, but it also deals more damage and can disarm your enemy instead of just disabling shield. Note: Disarming a non-player entity will usually destroy the disarmed item rather than drop it on the ground to prevent easy farming. Spear: If you do not like enemies getting too close to you, this weapon is the right choice. It can hit enemies on much further distance than other weapons. If this is not enough, you can throw it against enemy. Spears work more like consumables than a proper weapon. It cannot be enchanted, it can stack and it has a chance to break with each use instead of losing durability. Crossbow: This ranged weapon deals more damage than bow and shoots arrows faster, but takes much longer to charge. When charged, it stays loaded, until player shoots by using it again. This means, that you can be always prepared to shoot for a lot of damage. It uses the same ammo as normal bow. Shield Enchantments: Spellproof - Shields can block magic damage as well as normal damage. Blocking Power - Shields can block more damage. Reflection - Blocking damages the attacker (similar to thorns). Weightless - Blocking doesn't slow you down that much, can't be combined with Heavy. Heavy - Blocking also prevents knockback, can't be combined with Weightless. Note: Only works on shields from this mod. Weapon Enchantments: Vampirism - Dealing damage to another entity heals you. Penetration - Deals more damage to armored enemies, can't be combined with Sharpness, Smite and Bane of Arthropods. Education - Multiplies amount of XP dropped by killed creatures. Does not work on bosses, can't be combined with Looting. Fling - Launches enemies high into air, can't be combined with Knockback. Assassinate (dagger only) - Increases damage dealt by surprise attack. Bash (hammer only) - Increases stun chance. Combo (nunchaku only) - Increases extra damage if you keep attacking. Disarm (battleaxe only) - Increases disarm chance. Tool Enchantments: Smelting - Smelts smeltable blocks when you mine them, can't be combined with Silk Touch. Tunneling - Mines more blocks at once. Diamonds Everywhere - Small chance to get diamonds from any ore, that doesn't drop itself, can't be combined with Fortune and Silk Touch. Versatility - Increases mining speed if you aren't mining blocks with right tool (like dirt with pickaxe). Bow Enchantments: Rapid Fire - Increases drawing speed. Blast - Shot arrows explode upon impact, can't be combined with Punch. Multishot - You can shoot multiple arrows at once. Extra arrows aren't consumed, but can't be picked up, can't be combined with Power. Arrow Recovery - If you hit entity with an arrow, there is a chance, that you get an arrow back, can't be combined with Infinity. Range - Shot arrows can fly further. Leggings Enchantments: Agility - Increases walking/running speed. Chestplate Enchantments: Vitality - Increases natural regeneration rate. Boots Enchantments: High Jump - Increases jump height. Potions: Potion of blindness - Crafted by brewing awkward potion with ink sack, duration can be increased. Upon drinking applies blindness. It also works on mobs reducing their follow range. Potion of Decay - Crafted by brewing potion of regeneration with fermented spider eye, duration and strength can be increased. Upon drinking applies wither effect. Potion of Ender Warp - Crafted by brewing awkward potion with chorus fruit, strength can be increased. Randomly teleports user upon drinking. Potion of Antiwarp - Crafted by brewing potion of ender warp with fermented sipder eye, duration can be increased. Upon drinking applies effcet, which prevents mobs from teleporting and players from using ender pearls. Milky Potion - Obtained by taking milk from cauldron to a bottle. Upon drinking removes all potion effect. Potion of Dispel - Crafted by brewing milky potion with fermented spider eye, removes only good effects. Potion of Cure - Crafted by brewing milky potion with regular golden apple, removes only bad effects. Other: You can now put potions and milk into cauldrons. They can be later used for poisoning arrows and melee weapons by right clicking the cauldron with item you want to poison. Poison on weapon only lasts for limited amount of hits. However, you cannot combine different potions. If you try to add potion to cauldron if there is a different potion already, it is going to explode! -Spartan Shields by ObliviousSpartan Spartan Shields is a mod for Minecraft that adds a variety of new shields to the game. Getting started: Right from the outset, you can craft the Crude Wooden Shield as soon as you punch some trees! Alternatively, you can make a Wooden Tower Shield which allows you to apply banners to them! Wood won't cut it for long, so you can upgrade it when you get new materials. Note: The Wood Shield you use must be undamaged for this to work! The same can be done with the Wood Tower Shield as well! The Shields you can make this way (with no other mods) are the following: Stone Braced Shield & Stone Tower Shield Iron Plated Shield & Iron Tower Shield Gold Gilded Shield & Gold Tower Shield Diamond Reinforced Shield & Diamond Tower Shield Bulky Obsidian Shield & Obsidian Tower Shield -> Increased Knockback Resistance + Slower movement speed Tower Shields function in the same way as regular Shields but you can also apply some banners to them! Enchantments: Most shields can be enchanted using an Enchanting Table, unlike the vanilla Shield. The exceptions are the RF/FE Powered Shields. The following enchantments can be applied to them: Unbreaking [Vanilla] Knockback [Vanilla] -> Used to enhance Shield Bash knockback power Spikes - Max Levels: 3 - Gives a chance to inflict damage to any mob which hits the Shield when blocking -Useful Backpacks by HyCraftHD This mod adds three new backpacks with small, medium and large inventory. -Realistic Item Drops by Funwayguy This is a simple mod that will give a very different feeling to your Minecraft experience. Auto-pickup can be disabled requiring players to manually collect items by right clicking them. They can also lay flat on the ground instead of magically hovering in the air. As an added bonus, sprint tossing increasing the distance items can be thrown allowing players to throw items to each other catching them mid-air! -Realistic Torches by Chaosyr Realistic Torches is a lightweight mod that makes early gameplay more difficult by causing torches to burn out after a configurable amount of time. This encourages players to move toward more permanent light sources early on. Features Torches are now unlit after being crafted, and must be lit with a matchbox Torches will burn out after a configurable amount of time (60 minutes real time by default), encouraging players to seek out more permanent light sources Torches are extinguished when rained on Torches generated in vanilla structures will be replaced by unlit torches Permanently lit torches can be crafted using a glowstone crystal Naturally light-emitting blocks and items will emit light when held (pre-1.14.4) -Dynamic Trees by ferreusveritas creates a more dynamic, aesthetic, fun and natural looking trees while respecting the Minecraft graphic stylization and enforcing a narrow project scope that keeps things simple. Grow progressively from seeds to mature trees over time. Grow in natural ways loosely modeled after real world trees and tend to grow in unique, believable ways. Grow around obstacles in a natural way. Are not just reskins but grow using different algorithms per species. Have growth rate and mature sizes that are biome, temperature and rainfall dependent. Drop seeds at random that can potentially plant themselves. Won't grow in darkness. Leaves not connected to an outer tree branch or starved of light will die. Outer branches without leaves slowly rot away. Will die and rot in a dark place (some species produce mushrooms when they rot). Walking on leaves blocks is slow and sinking. Falling on to leaves prevents fall damage and destroys the leaves. Vanilla Tree Fruits(apples, cocoa beans) Thin branches can be climbed like ladders. Rooty Soil Provides nutrients to trees and can be depleted over time Applied with bone meal will increase soil fertility and allows the tree to grow past its mature state Applied with various brewed potions for different effects(see next section) Special effect particles are created on the entire tree when an acting substance is applied to the soil or bottom-most trunk block Comparator can be used to sense soil fertility level Seeds Take the place of vanilla saplings Are randomly dropped from trees(configurable) Can self plant if setting on a dirt/grass/podzol block in a forest with a clear view of the sky above it (configurable) -Better Burning by DarkhaxDev This mod tweaks the burning and fire mechanics of Minecraft in ways that improve the balance and immersion of the game. All of these features can be disabled on an individual basis in the config file. Features Burning Skeletons Shoot Burning Arrows If a skeleton is on fire it will have a chance to shoot a flaming arrow. Flaming arrows will cause some burning damage if they hit you. (70% chance by default) Flint and Steel Deals Burn Damage Attacking a mob with flint and steel will cause a small amount of burn damage to the mob. This will cause a bit of durability damage to the item like with any other weapon. (3 fire damage by default) Fire Resistance Extinguishes Fire This feature will cause the player's burn timer to be cleared while they have a fire resistance potion active. This fixes an annoying issue where the burn timer would increase even if you have a fire resistance potion active. For example swimming in lava would still increase your burn timer regardless of the potion, leading to the fire animation playing for a long time after leaving the lava. Fix Fire Damage Not Always Giving Cooked Drops This feature fixes an inconsistency with how loot tables check if the mob was on fire. In vanilla some mobs will drop different items when on fire. For example a chicken will drop cooked chicken instead of raw chicken if killed with fire damage. The vanilla mechanic only checks for "damage over time" fire damage and not instant fire damage. This has lead to many edge cases where things like the vanilla Camp Fire block and various fire mechanics in other mods will not cause mobs to drop the correct items. These edge cases are fixed by this feature. Fire Damage Spreads When any mob that is on fire attacks another mob with an empty hand there is a small chance the mob being attacked will also catch on fire. This feature is based on a vanilla mechanic that allows zombies to spread fire to their targets if they attack without an item. This feature expands the vanilla feature to all mobs. (The spread chance is 30% by default) -Just Enough Items (JEI) by mezz JEI is an item and recipe viewing mod for Minecraft, built from the ground up for stability and performance.
