Eldritch Horror
No reviews yet
A horror-focused pack I made some years ago before the cave dwellers, with a focus on lovecraftian horror. The world is eternal night, and the darkness is something to fear.
Designed to be spooky or terrifying, often including dark environments, scary monsters, and survival horror mechanics.
Centers around fantasy elements such as spells, rituals, and magical energies, often involving personal empowerment and magical automation.
Centers on surviving in harsh conditions, managing resources, and fending off PvE threats.
Includes a little of everything without sticking to any one particular type of gameplay or style.
Designed to be difficult and challenging for experienced players, often with many hours of gameplay.
Forge is a popular mod loader for versions 1.1+ of Minecraft.

About
Description
You start in a pitch black world with nothing. If there is a story behind what led you here, you can't fathom it.
I'll give you your first objective, then you're on your own: Find light.
I made this pack some years ago for myself to see what lovecraftian horror minecraft could offer, before the cave dweller mods became a thing. As such, this pack contains none of them, but instead some older mods that feature more atmosphere based horror- that doesn't mean there are no dangerous monsters. There's no objective, it's pretty much a kitchen sink pack, but early game will likely be solely focused on not dying.
I somewhat finished playing the pack myself and enjoyed it to its fullest, so I hope any of you can feel the same. Please leave a comment!
Lastly, I'm by no means a talented modpack creator, and just flimsily put this together based on what I liked. There may still be some problems I didn't see, but most should be fixed. One thing, disable your shaders when you enter the betweenlands or the screen will freeze. Don't know how to do that any other way.
Lastly, one of my all time favourite mods is in here, which you will encounter when first leaving the nether. It's not well known, so give the creator some love.
Kind regards, me
