About

Description

No quest book, no tech mods, no tutorial you need to read before you start playing. It's still Minecraft, just with a lot more going on: places worth finding, animals everywhere, better sounds and plenty to build with.

I put it together because I kept going back to vanilla and getting bored after a week or two. This is the version of the game I actually want to play.

What's inside?

🌍 A bigger, wilder world

Huge mountains, river valleys, steep cliffs and a bunch of new biomes, mostly from Terralith, Tectonic, Oh The Biomes We've Gone and Geophilic. YUNG's Cave Biomes makes going underground worth it too.

🏰 Things to stumble upon

Castles, ruins, ancient cities and dungeons scattered all over the map. Most of them come from Luki's mods (Grand Capitals, Crazy Chambers, Ancient Cities), ATi Structures and Grim Kingdoms. With Lootr, every player gets their own chest loot.

🦊 Animals everywhere

Snow leopards, narwhals, owls, meerkats, sea otters, ducks and a lot more. They come from Alex's Mobs, Naturalist, Critters and Companions, Friends & Foes and the whole Animal Garden series. Vanilla mobs got a makeover too, thanks to Creeper Overhaul and Spider Overhaul.

🎣 Fishing you'll actually enjoy

Tide turns fishing into its own little hobby, with loads of new fish, a journal to fill out, and fishing in lava and the End. Fish of Thieves and Hybrid Aquatic fill the oceans with even more life.

🪑 Furniture & building

Tables, chairs, shelves, lamps and all the little things that make a house feel lived in. Mostly Handcrafted, Another Furniture, Immersive Furniture and Supplementaries, plus extra blocks from Stoneworks and New Slab Variants.

🍷 Farming & food

Plant a vineyard and make your own wine with Vinery, or brew drinks with Kaleidoscope Tavern. Right Click Harvest, Animal Feeding Trough and Crops Love Rain take some of the chores out of farming.

📷 Photography

Bring a camera along on your trips with Exposure. Take photos, develop film, hang your pictures on the wall, or shoot instant ones with the Polaroid add-on.

🎒 Backpacks & inventory

Upgradeable backpacks from Sophisticated Backpacks, sorting buttons from Inventory Profiles Next, and Carry On so you can just pick up a chest and carry it somewhere else.

🔊 Sound

Footsteps that change with the ground, birds in the forest, wind in the mountains, and echo in caves. Made possible by Presence Footsteps, AmbientSounds, Sound Physics Remastered and ExtraSounds.

🌧️ Weather & little details

Better rain, real thunderstorms, falling leaves, snow that piles up properly, and small particles everywhere. Thanks to Cool Rain, Particle Rain, Immersive Thunder, Falling Leaves, Subtle Effects and Snow! Real Magic!.

🌌 New dimensions

Deeper and Darker hides an entire dimension behind the portal in ancient cities, but you'll have to deal with a Warden before you can open it. If you'd rather go up than down, Paradise Lost adds a whole world floating in the sky.

🔥 A Nether worth revisiting

Incendium completely rebuilds the Nether with new biomes, structures, bosses and gear. Nether Depths Upgrade adds lava fish and other creatures to the lava lakes.

🌑 The End, finally fun

Nullscape gives the outer End some real terrain, Stellarity adds new content to explore, and True Ending turns the Ender Dragon fight into an actual battle.

🗺️ Finding your way

Minimap and full world map from Xaero's, Waystones for fast travel, plus Explorer's Compass and Nature's Compass when you're looking for something specific.

✨ Enchanting & gear

No more enchanting blind thanks to Easy Magic, plus Grind Enchantments and Better Than Mending. Mythic Upgrades and Artifacts give you something to hunt for in dungeons.

⚙️ Performance

Lots of mods, but it should still run well. Sodium, Lithium, C2ME, FerriteCore, ModernFix and a handful of others do the heavy lifting. Iris is included if you want shaders.
