About

Description

Vanilla Enhanced is a pack from the The Nexus Project team, previously End of Days Team, now disbanded.

It's currently trying to be an Enhanced version of Minecraft Vanilla. Adding mods that improve the gameplay like Quark, custom made Quests from the Better Questing Mod, & a antique themed map that you spawn with on newly generated worlds. We also have the Better Foliage mod & Dynamic Surroundings to make Minecraft feel more alive & also custom randomly generated structures spawning around the world! You will also begin to discover new species of animals & mobs. While many of them are hostile, friendly mobs also seem to have some kind of aggression towards players. Upon killing a mob you begin to feel a magical vibe almost like you could become that specific mob you've just slaughtered. This mod pack is also different in many ways.. mainly because it changes the early game significantly, not that much harder though.. just different!

(Check the Spoilers below to get more information about this.) .

Some nice & useful mods you should check out in the pack:

  • Custom Generated Structures built by: Vidargavia. (Buildings look old & torn apart because of RecurrentComplex Mod)
  • Main Menu Art & CurseForge icon by: Sigmeow.

End of Days Team is basically gone, but a support Discord is available here:

- Gbergz

A Total of 99 Mods can be found in this Mod Pack, 111 if you count the lib/core mods!

What's really different?:

Some basic recipe changes:
(Check spoilers below to see some of the recipe changes.)

  • Wood-Log outputs to x6 Planks instead of x4.
  • Sticks outputs to x6 instead of x4.
  • Torches outputs to x6 instead of x4.
  • Crafting a chest gives x2 instead of x1.
Armor is now tiered, meaning you need to first acquire a full set of Leather Armor in order to upgrade. (Check spoilers below to see some of the recipe changes.)
  • Leather Armor to Gold Armor.
  • Gold Armor to Iron Armor.
  • Iron Armor to Diamond Armor.
Vanilla Tools & most other tools are now also tiered, meaning it's the same as Armor you need a Wood Pickaxe to create a flint Pickaxe so on and so forth.                                                                                (Check spoilers below to see some of the recipe changes.)
  • Wooden Pickaxe(can't mine anything) to Flint Pickaxe.
  • Stone Pickaxe to Gold Pickaxe.
  • Stone Pickaxe to Iron Pickaxe.
  • Iron Pickaxe to Diamond Pickaxe.
Mining has been overhauled, check the spoilers below to get an understanding on how it works. It's different but it's not that hard.

Read more in-depth about the changes in the spoilers below!

How to get flint:

To get flint you need to craft a Grass Fiber Mesh, recipe below:

And those Grass Fibers in the middle is crafted with normal Grass from Minecraft, recipe below:

You can get Grass with a shear as always but you can also craft them with any type of seed, recipe:

Now when you've crafted the "Grass Fiber Mesh" you can create Flint from gravel, see below:

 Tools Recipe Changes:

, after you've created the Flint Pickaxe you will now be able to create a Stone Pickaxe. (Which is a little more durable & better than a Flint Pickaxe)

Miscellaneous Recipe Changes:

Here are some miscellaneous recipe changes.(Who doesn't like to get more wood, 1 more chest & more sticks out of 1 Craft anyways?) (Oh yeah, torches also give you 2 extra per craft.)

This is the Oak Wood Plank Recipe. (All different types of Wood gives x6, same as oak.)

Sticks Recipe. (All different types of Sticks gives x6, same as regular Sticks.)

The Chest Recipe.(Quark Chests also give x2 Chests. Acacia, Dark Wood etc.)

Torch Recipe.(Let there be light!)

Mining Changes:

Harvesting Stone will now drop 1-2 pieces of "Rocks" that you will be able to create Cobblestone with.

Demonstration:

Mining Different Ores will now drop you fragments of that specific ore. (Except for Lapis, Redstone & Coal.)

Demonstration:

Using 9 of those fragments in a Crafting Table as seen below & in the video above, you will receive x1 Cluster of that specific Ore.

Now using that Cluster in a Furnace, you will receive an Ingot.
Demonstration:

Diamond & Emerald is a little bit different, requiring you to get a Cutting Table & a Cutting Tool.

Cutting Tool Recipe:

Demonstration: (Right-Clicking with your Cutting tool until it's done)

(This is all done by a Mod called: "Improved Extraction")
