About
Description
WARNING! You don't want to play this modpack, trust me, unless you love engineering, don't like fighting, and have plenty of time to waste, this modpack isn't for you.
The primary purpose of the EpikTek Modpack is to discourage brute force while encouraging engineering and creativity. It also aims to create a challenge in peaceful mode for those that don't really get into those creeper jump-scares. You'll spend a lot of the early stages of the game worried that you're going to die of hunger.
Central Mods and Themes
AgriCraft, Hunger In Peace, Pam's HarvestCraft, The Spice of Life
Food is a major part of this modpack. You won't be able to get away with carrying around a stack of cooked chicken, you'll instead be constantly working to find new and interesting foods to eat. If you don't want to build a kitchen, you don't want to play this modpack.
OpenComputers, Ender IO, Extreme Reactors, Immersive Engineering, PSI, Tinker's Construct, Advanced Rocketry
High tech, high flexibility, high creativity. There's (almost) no limit to what you can make or where you can go. Mix features of different mods to get the most of out of your resources and use your ingenuity to do things that nobody ever imagined could be possible.
Applied Energistics 2, BiblioCraft, Iron Chests, Storage Drawers
There's more ways to store things than piles of wooden chests. You can start with the basics like Storage Drawers for easy access to the most important stuff and move your way up to AE2 for that high-tech storage management.
Iguana Tweaks, Hunger Overhaul and a lot of custom configs
Just because there are no monsters doesn't mean this pack isn't a challenge. Blocks are 4 times as hard and stack sizes are decreased to encourage creative solutions over manual mining. Hunger, poison and other effects have been made more difficult. And you might have noticed that certain mods that make things a bit too easy have been intentionally left out, like an always on minimap. You'll need to actually craft a map if you want one.
History
The original EpikTek modpack was created back in 2015 and is now defunct, but by popular request I have made a new one with modern mods on a modern version of Minecraft.
