About

Description

NOTE: 1.20.1 is the new version I'll be working on. 1.16.5 is no longer being messed with, though it will probably make a good base if you want to continue it for some reason.

NOTE: This modpack is in beta - expect breaking changes that require a world restart if you decide to download it at this point (though I definitely try not to break things.)

  • 8GB of RAM assigned to Minecraft is a minimum. 16GB of RAM is recommended.
  • A heavily-integrated kitchen sink modpack designed for a chill and cozy experience. There's a bit of tech and magic to keep the automation nerds happy and plenty of decoration to keep the builders happy.
  • Integrations have been done with KubeJS. To mention a few things - recipe fixes, ore unification (no more 20 different types of copper!,) custom convenience recipes, extended uses for some of the machinery.
  • This modpack has NOT been balanced for PvP - if you decide to use it for that, YMMV - I can think of a couple of incredibly OP (albeit endgame-ish) weapons in here that would throw things like that off.
  • The intent is to provide a bit of grind, but smooth it out some so you don't end up having to deal with The End if you just want an elevator (for example.) There's a progression, but it's kinda fuzzy and not super defined.
  • Note that until I release the full pack, all updates will be releases. Once I have the pack solidified, I'll probably just remove all the beta versions, and change to a more typical alpha/beta/release model.
    • This will probably happen sometime roughly in 2135.

Highlight mods:

  • Biomes O' Plenty - extra worldgen to make things pretty and provide more building materials!
  • Oh The Biomes We've Gone - I've actually got this and BoP working together pretty well - nice mix of biomes.
  • ProjectE - Worth mentioning this one, because it DOESN'T work the way you expect it to - transmutation has been disabled, so working your way up to higher-tier materials is definitely a lot more of a grind, and no cloning all the things. It does, however, ease some of the grinding for higher end materials.
  • Thermal Series, RFTools, Cyclic, Extreme Reactors, Tinkers' Construct, EnderIO, etc. - Tech mods to build and power stuff!
  • YUNG's mods, Waystones, Twilight Forest, Dungeon Crawl, etc. - Exploration mods to explore stuff!
  • Refined Storage, Pocket Storage, Expanded Storage - Storage mods to store stuff!
  • And more stuff!

Known Issues:

  • None at the moment other than that I've still got some dev stuff in the pack - this is a very rough first draft. I didn't even transfer the neat cozycraft icon yet D:

Future Plans:

  • Eventually integrate quests to solidify a sense of progression a bit.
  • Along with the above, include some sort of economy mod for multiplayer purposes.

Licensing

There's not really any source code to speak of, but WTFPL does apply to whatever KubeJS scripts are contained within unless I specify otherwise in the script (likely because someone else wrote the script and they have their own license.) It'd be nice if you gave a nod to me if you use the scripts, but if not, no big deal.
