A very experimental modpack that makes worldgen MUCH faster and more expandable! Could be used for making modpacks out of, testing worldgen mods or datapacks, or just enjoying the faster load times :D

Faster World

This is a really simple modpack I made in order to play around and test worldgen mods without waiting forever. Faster World Speeds up World Generation A LOT, though my testing is only on one computer and is a bit anecdotal. It may also depend heavily on your computer, with better computers benefitting from the performance improvements (ironically, and unfortunately).

Heads Up: Faster World is VERY experimental, using several mods that radically alter Minecraft's internal code and are still in early development. These mods haven't been tested for every edge case and computer, and may have bugs or incompatibilities. Use at your own discretion, backup worlds you use, etc, and if FW isn't compatible with certain mods, there's not much I can do.

  • Very fast LODs from the Voxy mod, utilizing the Roxy compatibility layer
  • Very fast worldgen using your GPU with C2ME, C2ME OpenCL Acceleration Module
  • Vertical Chunks from C2Chunk, enabling grander worldgeneration
  • Some other basic performance tweaks
  • Smaller worldgen fixes
  • The ability to pre-generate large parts of your world efficiently using the Chunksmith mod
