Themed around heavy machinery, factories, and automation reminiscent of the Industrial Revolution.
Themed around magical elements, mythical creatures, and enchanted worlds, often inspired by fantasy literature and folklore.
Focuses on automation and resource processing through scientific and mechanical means, utilizing systems like electricity (RF/FE/etc), air pressure, or rotation.
Centers around fantasy elements such as spells, rituals, and magical energies, often involving personal empowerment and magical automation.
Includes a little of everything without sticking to any one particular type of gameplay or style.
Features complex tech, often requiring intricate setups and resources.
Features dragon mobs, items, and often dragon-taming mechanics.
Forge is a popular mod loader for versions 1.1+ of Minecraft.

This is a mashup of a few modpacks to create a modpack for my community.
This modpack offers many of the basics that ftb packs include along with many newer mods, this also includes mods that can make the modpack harder in some cases such as Roguelike Dungeons.
It features many magical mods for those who love playing with magic such as the latest Thaumcraft and Ars Magica along with Blood Magic letting these players dabble in various different forms of magic.
But it does not limit a player at that, it offers tech mods such as IC2 and Thermal Expansion for those of us that are in love with creating machines, with this it offers many forms of automation the centerpiece being AE2.
With the mods comes Draconic Evolution giving you the chance to dominate your opponents with the most powerful armour and a powerful power supply option, as long as you are willing to take on the mighty dragon.
A chance to explore, Abyssal Craft and Biomes O' Plenty offer many new terrain types giving an explorer the chances to... well explore to their hearts content over many different lands! with this comes Roguelike Dungeons giving the player a chance to explore mighty but dangerous dungeons along with many different smaller dungeons and hidden chests from AbyssalCraft.
