Description

HQM is coming soon... Also please use the resource pack that this comes with, although you might want to take out Botania because the Botania retexture isn't finished yet, and it'll be pretty inconsistent.

Steve did not remember how he got trapped in this place. None of them did. Yes, there had been others. Long ago. But Steve could not remember when they were lost, or how they even came here. He had been walking for what seems like years, unable to rest, across valleys, oceans of lava, plains of smouldering flesh. He did have vague dreams of a time before his current existence. He, and many other humans, had lived in a world with light and life, a vast blue void above their heads, and lush fields that made the vines and overgrown netherrack look like a desert by comparison. Then he remembered the destruction they had caused. The trees were all cut down, the forests and caves emptied, vast fields of corpses littered the ground. Looking back it did not seem real. It couldn't be. Maybe it's just a memory he was implanted with, to teach him some kind of lesson. Steve pondered this as he scaled a cliff, grabbing a vine to help him up. Maybe this life, this unending wandering is all there was, or maybe he will once again see the blue light of the other world.

But none of that mattered now. He had to focus. Steve was shocked out of his philosophical daydreaming by the screech of a ghast. He tried to block the incoming fireball but it was too late. The ghast had hit him and exploded on impact. He felt the sensation of his body being ripped apart, his soul sinking through the flesh of the cave. He re-formed from netherrack, without his items, back where he had started. This part was all too familiar. Back when he traveled with other humans, there was a food shortage after they killed all the pigmen in the area. Many who couldn't bear to starve jumped in lava to kill themselves, only to come back even hungrier. This was the reality of this place. Steve wondered if death even existed, maybe it was like this everywhere, that when you die you just wake up again, as if from a bad dream, and continue on. He continued on. What else could he do? Until one day he punched a tree in hopeless anger, and felt the strange, but somehow familiar, sensation of the log breaking under his fist...
