I know a lot of these mods may look confusing. But to simplify, a lot of mods need script/coding mods to work. Such as the ones listed above: geckolib, TerraBlender, cloth, etc.
This pack offers the ability to chop down whole trees. The base breaks down layer by layer just like a real tree, and then eventually falls over.
This pack offers stronger mobs and their ability to even the playing field with the player.
This pack offers dozens of new biomes for the player to explore.
Just imagine being able to automate mining/farming, or flying a plane, or even being able to make custom bridges!
Important
What's up guys its MrFloppyBottoms here. Just to make sure before anything gets confusing, all mods added into this list are not mine. I did not create these or help create these in any way. They are simply mods I added for me and my friends to play. This pack is meant for a visual boost plus a slightly more difficult edge on mobs. It's a great combination that shouldn't be at all hard on your pc. Optifine 1.18.1 is NOT added. 
Semi-Important (but still important)
Ok so Optifine right, everyone loves it and if you don't know it's the "mod" that makes Minecraft look gorgeous like every YouTube video you watch. Now just so you know, the shaders I've dealt with make the water/ terrain/ day to night cycle kind of buggy. If you add some shaders, you'll see. So, keep it in mind it may not be 100% compatible.

Only the shader highlighted is reccomended! Don't use the other two, other two that are not highlighted will generate the results shown previously. All of the following photos you will see will be in game and with my favorite shader. -
Shader that works 95% of the time This shader is my favorite and the following photo will show what to not download and what to download. This one fits best tho. -
Another Picture with shaders Same pic again but with different shaders, this one still wont work because it shows errors that pop up later on -
What could happen with certain shaders In this photo is the same as the first, but with shaders that don't quite "work", so be cautious with what shaders you choose.
