About

Description

This pack is comprised of some of the (in my opinion) best mods for 1.20.1.

Basically this modpack make the game a bit harder, a bit richer and provides a bit better quality of life without feeling like a different game.

Some details:

Minecraft is too easy even on hard mode, so several mods are included to make the game a bit harder (not RLC hard...) The main mods that do this are the Legendary Survival Overhaul and Born in Chaos.

There are also several mods designed to make the game richer without changing the feel to much. Primarily: Alex's mobs, Naturalist, Biome's O' Plenty, Distant Horizons, Via Romana, Small Ships, Farmer's Delight and Tetra. (All absolutely fantastic mods...)

Lastly, a number of quality of life mods and optimization mods have been included. Mods like, Storage Drawers, Inventory Profiles Next, Just Enough Items, Gravestone Mod and Tree Chop.

I tried to keep this mod lite as the server I'm running it on isn't high end and it seems to do pretty good (I've never had more than 3 players on the server at the same time...)

Notes:

Distant Horizons isn't required on the server if you use this on a server.

For players with slower computers, I recommend Distant Horizons settings: LOD Chunk Render Distance Radius [32]; and Quality Preset [3 Medium]. Everything else default. You can set the CPU Load to [5] when you first log into the world then AFK for a couple minutes, then set it down to [2] or [3] once the frame rate is back to acceptable levels.
