A 1.7.10 Modpack focused around mods stuck on this version of minecraft with modern performance optimisations such as Angelica and GTNH forks that patch out game breaking bugs in various abandonded projects. With 370 mods and multiple recipes and config changes for a perfect 1.7.10 for the modern era.

In the early game seek shelter with the villagers and steal their Tinkers smeltry, or make one yourself. Utilise the main tech mods such as Immersive Engineering, RotaryCraft, IC2, and Mekanism to start ore processing and generating energy.

Alternatively you could start with magic mods such as Thaumcraft and it's incredible array of addons or the other exclusive 1.7.10 mod ChromatiCraft which is a beautiful magic exploration mod that implements it's own thaumcraft integration and more. 

Become a witch and make hobgoblins mine for you to automate koboldite, you can even stick them in a boat so they can never escape! This mashup of the best hits of 1.7.10 should provide an incredible modern 1.7.10 experience.

In this friendslop modpack a lot of it is balanced for PvP in case someone's dog gets killed on your self-hosted e4mc server. For the server to run smoothly the host preferably allocates more ram and pregenerates chunks in-game as preview mode can be a bit buggy.

Comes packaged with multiblock schematics, shaders that work on 1.7.10 and various resourcepacks, after downloading all the mods with mod-director it will close and you need to launch the game again.
