Frozen Parasites
Introduction
Frozen Parasites is a modpack that combines Scape and Run: Parasites with aspects of Forge Lab's Winter Apocalypse.
The main goal of this modpack is to survive as long as you can in a world overrun by disgusting parasites, feral beasts, and the horde. To make matters worse, it also gets cold. Stupid cold.
Basic Guide
In order to survive your first night, you need to prioritize more than just light and food. You now have a thirst bar and temperature meter, meaning that consuming water and staying warm will be essential to your survival. You might have also noticed that your health bar has been removed, and that there's a blood meter on the side of your hotbar. Taking damage will cause you to lose blood, giving you various debuffs depending on the damage type. You can also access a first aid menu by pressing [H], which will give you an in depth guide to the new health mechanics.
Once you’ve survived your first night, you’re more than likely on track to come across a horde. Hordes start off as a small army of parasites, but they will gradually increase in number day by day. You will have to evolve along with them if you want to survive.
Slime and Gunpowder also now have a crafting recipe. You can access the recipes using the JEI crafting menu.
Around the world, you will find abandoned buildings, downed powerlines, and ruins from the civilized world. Some of them may contain helpful gear, others can be harvested as building material.
Oh, and one more thing: Watch out for the Polar Bears. Good Luck!
