Gears Of Adventure

Welcome to your new home, well if you want to live in a place of raw chaos I'd say you found the perfect place. 

Gears of Adventure is a Hard/Expert difficulty modpack focused on exploring the limitless dimensions and biomes to fight bosses, get geared, the whole lot. There's even place for the engineers to build up an infrastructure for near limitless power, resources, or just traps to have fun with your friends.

This modpack has been made by 2 friends and the owners of a server of our members and playtesters called "The Loner Gang". 

The Gears of Adventure was a modpack that we started making prior to the release of the popular modpack "Insanecraft" trying to mimic it in terms of mods, experience and gameplay with our own difficulty spike. Eventually this modpack became it's own thing and was renamed from "Discount Insanecraft" to the official name, "Gears of Adventure" since it was an adventure and tech focused modpack. We pride ourselves on our difficulty in this pack along with it being borderline unfair, but for the people who can't seem to figure out how to play the pack, the questline is your guide. With 5 major questlines and multiple more inside those, you'll have enough content to last you for a long time with a mix of grinding, tech, and the small sprinkle of adventure to go along with it to make the pack less grindy and monotonous. Now, let's check out the individual features of this pack:-

Tech:
One of the main themes of this modpack and highly customized which allows you to go through the basics of tech, through the ages and make your way to unlimited power. This part of the modpack is my favoriate part of the entire modpack just because I love tech in a modpack. This pack takes you through the basics, where you start off with basic power generation to sort out early game power, after which you dabble in the tech mods, making a mass storage system using Simple Storage System and get yourself the basics of most of the Technology section's recipes, being the Metallurgic Infuser, Enrichment Chamber, and the Digital Miner which you can upgrade with the Upgrades questline along with some assorted Nuclearcraft machines.

Adventure:
OH BOY, the largest part of the pack. The adventure section of Gears of Adventure is implemented so that players can take a break from the monotonous task of grinding and grinding and grinding for resources to make new machines and new items. The dimensions have many bosses, mobs and new things to discover and fight. As you make your way through the dimensions, you will even find difficult bosses who drop trophies for a status symbol along with a small chance to drop a weapon from the Advent of Ascension bosses. The golden Aether is also added in this modpack for a hint of nostalgia and for some more types of bosses. There are more than 15 new dimensions, each with their own bosses, structures and mobs.

Difficulty:
The pride and joy of this pack, the difficulty. The difficulty of this pack is, as my old testers used to describe it, "off the charts". Not only are the recipes difficult, the gameplay itself is difficult. With enhanced mob ai, the abillity to break and place blocks, Lycanites mobs and Advent of Ascension mobs, this pack will always keep you on your toes during the night time with a permanent blood moon out every night, keeping you from sleeping and skipping the night the easy way to actually hacking and slashing away at the hordes of monsters coming for your soul. 

Trolling and Multiplayer Fun:
The fun of playing a modpack is always with friends. If you don't have any, you can find some at our discord (shameless plug: https://discord.gg/pcZCS9tku9), but the point of having friends is to troll them and have fun with them. So, to faccilitate this, we added some mods to troll your friends and see their reactions maybe in text or voice chat and get some funny clips out of those.
