Since it first released I've been following thus project with great delight.
Minecraft without needing combat is trully a interesting way to play and it was coquered in a extremely cozy way. Gifting mobs treats so you receive their stuff and sometimes paintings is satisfying
The field guide is also a really engaging way to continue exploring your world, the want to catalogue every piece of nature, fauna, mineral and foods.
Building has also been made easier and more enjoyable.
Basically, play Gentle Brew, Kelpie did a awesome job with this pack and it is one of my all time favourites!!

About

Description

Make tea, not war Gentle Brew makes combat unnecessary so you can focus on exploration and building. Monsters are neutral instead of hostile, and killing won't yield any drops or experience. Instead, you can offer treats to creatures and monsters to receive gifts from them, and experience can be gained from brewing and farming.

Hold Ctrl while looking at a mob through a spyglass to see what gifts it prefers.

More to explore Archaeology has been expanded, wandering traders have new wares, fishing yields biome-specific loot and cobble generators create more stone types. Brewing and enchanting can be accessed earlier in the game, with new brewing recipes and more control over enchantments. Paintings are locked to their specific variants and can be collected all over the world from fishing, trading and more.

Use the field guide to keep track of the paintings you've collected and see hints on where to find them.

No villagers, no End A few enchantments, mobs and the End have been removed to cultivate a more relaxing vibe and make room for new kinds of progression. Gentle Brew avoids adding new registries as much as possible, meaning no new modded blocks or items. Instead, items have been repurposed with new looks, names, uses and mechanics. Custom info tabs, tooltips and advancements guide the way.

Wandering traders offer valuable items in exchange for a good meal. They are a source of several unique paintings. Send them away if you don't want to trade.

Many of the ideas in this pack were inspired by the phenomenal Raspberry Flavoured modpack. Thank you to raspmary and the rest of the RF team. Extra thanks to Cassian for adding mod functionality that benefitted both RF and this pack, and to Noelle for contributing logo and title art, and to asof for many technical and artistic contributions. <3

Early versions of this pack include Antique Atlas 4, using a custom fork by by cassiancc and distributed according to its LGPL license.

Special thanks to the authors of the many resource packs included

  • Brewing overhaul
Brewing overhaul Unlock brewing before ever entering the Nether, and concoct a potion for every effect. Each potion has a unique texture to help you tell them apart at a glance. Potions stack up to 16, and duration also stacks.
  • Keep track of your discoveries

  • Food
Food Gather all the crops so you can prepare food like beetloaf, fish soup, carrot cake, quiche, glowberry pumpkin cheesecake and potato dumplings. Some foods will grant effects, like a short boost of levitation when you eat a chorus pie.
  • New trades
New trades Wandering traders offer valuable items in exchange for a good meal. They are a source of several unique paintings. Send them away if you don't want to trade.
  • Unlock collections
Unlock collections Advancements offer a guide to progression as well as goals to pursue. Many of these goals offer rewards like tools, paintings or even netherite once completed.
  • Double slabs
Double slabs Double-slab textures offer greater variety while building.
  • Build a museum
Build a museum Once you start acquiring paintings and other treasures, why not build a museum to display your collection?
  • Gift exchange
