About

Description

This modpack is an attempt to compile a bunch of 1.16 mods that add to the base game in little ways into a single place. All of the mods are supposed to try to enhance the tasty Vanilla goodness of Minecraft, not replace or add on to it.

Note!

Not all recipes are their default in this modpack! If you can't find a recipe in a recipe book, look in the JEI menu to find it.

Some hints and suggestions before getting started:

  • I recommend starting a test world and then going through the controls in the options menu. This modpack adds in a few new actions that are bound to keys, and some of the overlap, so I recommend going through the controls and changing them so it's easiest for your own control style. Don't know where to begin? I recommend starting by setting your Sit and Crawl actions to Left Ctrl (Crawl) and Left Alt (Sit), and remapping the Run button to be something else (I set it to the `~ key).
  • When enchanting, you'll find that the enchanting system is entirely replaced with a new Grid Enchanting system. For this, you add in blocks that represent the enchantments you're adding, and then fit them into the grid. If they're on the grid, they'll be on the enchanted item. If you get two of the same enchantment, you can stack them on top of each other in the grid space to combine them and up their level by one.
  • If you want to influence what enchantments you get when enchanting, combine a candle (any candle) with a book in a crafting grid to get a book explaining how to influence your enchantments.
  • I recommend keeping a crafting table in your inventory at all times. When a crafting table is in your inventory, you gain access to portable 3x3 crafting through a keybind or a button that appears beneath your little 2x2 crafting grid in the inventory.
  • Brewing potions in a cauldron is now just objectively better than using a brewing stand. If you don't know what I'm referring to, you can learn how to use the cauldron by looking up the potion fluids in JEI.
  • To get your items back after dying, punch the floating Totem of Holding. This will return your items to you, but if you die before getting the items out of it, it'll pop and your items will now despawn like usual.
  • There are now Crates, which act like shulker boxes but only have nine slots. I recommend using them, but currently they only come in the vanilla wood types (might fix this later).
  • Use shelves and bookcases to hold your enchanted books. Not bookshelves—shelves, and bookcases. You can also use shelves to hold and display any other item.
