Description
Gundustry is a complete overhaul modpack designed to bridge various mods together to create a fun progression experience. The modpack is currently being rewritten for Minecraft 1.21.1 to take advantage of some amazing new mods. If you'd like a more complete experience in the meantime, feel free to play the latest 1.20.1 version. It has hours of content to enjoy. Just make sure you are using separate instances for Gundustry version 1.20.1 and 1.21.1.
In case you're wondering why the 1.20.1 version is halted: I got frustrated with some of the mods creating limitations on the progression system. At some point, I felt it would be better to start fresh and write my own systems rather than relying on the mods I was using in that version.
Tiered Progression
It always bothered me how quickly the early game could be finished. So I gave my best to create a tiered tool progression system for the early game. In the past, I used almost every custom tool mod out there, but in the end I decided to implement my own so I could tweak it as freely as I wanted.
Now you can craft various tool heads and handles, then combine them with each other to create the ideal tool for you. Currently, only copper and bronze can be used, but future chapters will add more metals and handle parts to choose from, each with its own unique creation methods.
All these progressions can be tracked with the quests, so you will never feel lost.

Challenging Ore Processing
I got rid of the standard vanilla furnace recipes and implemented custom furnaces to shape ore processing the way I want. At the beginning of the game, only a handful of ores can be smelted normally. You'll need to progress technologically to process certain other ores.

Ballistics & Survival
Now that our own tool system is being used, the overall melee damage of tools has been nerfed. Combined with sleeping not being allowed, this pushes players to adapt to the stressful situation by using guns.

⚠️WARNING READ HERE
If you want a more complete experience, please download the latest Gundustry version for 1.20.
Also, make sure to have separate 1.20 and 1.21 instances in case you want to play both versions. If you update the 1.21 version from a 1.20 instance, the game won't work.
This modpack is currently in Early Access.
- Recipes and progression lines are subject to change.
