Hermit's Garden

A dialed back modpack filled with four five main mods, each with their own guidebooks.  This pack has a big focus on gardening, farming, and grinding rather than exploration, letting you get all of your materials without ever leaving your home...  One day...

So feel free to build that wizard tower on the coast and ignore the humdrum of common man who has to go out and dive into caves and study up on one of the many magic mods i added in:

Witchery:  A classic magic mod.  Explore the world of witchcraft by brewing potions in your cauldron, binding a familiar, gathering a coven, and performing rituals.

Botania:  Magic flowers are scattered about the world, calling you to pluck their petals and unlock their power.

Thaumcraft:  For those who would rather study and explore instead of gardening.

Blood Magic:  If exploring and plants aren't really your thing, why not use the life force of mobs?

Ars Magica:  Another big name in the Magic mod world, filled with spells and bosses to conquer!

And then of course we've got a healthy dose of decoration mods and a few biome mods to spruce up your hermitage.
