About

Description

Medieval and Magic themed modpack centered around expanding many features of the base game of Minecraft, emphasizing world exploration while balancing it with base-building and aesthetics to provide a feel of adventure while also enabling more balanced automation and infrastructure that the modpacks that inspired this one lacked so the player can explore as they wish without necessarily feeling as if they are forced to explore to keep progressing. Intended to provide a fair challenge greater than that of the base game while remaining fair to the player with good preparation.

Inspired by the Roguelike Adventures and Dungeons modpack and RLCraft, if challenging in different ways than the latter as well as the tabletop game Dungeons & Dragons, even including dragons from Ice and Fire as well as dungeons from the various new dimensions to explore as well as dungeons for the Overworld from Roguelike Dungeons and Recurrent Complex.

The modpack introduces dimensions to explore like the Twilight Forest, Aether and Betweenlands and the means to traverse these with mods like Tinker's Construct, Construct Armory, Backpacks! and more. Also boasts the classic magic mods like Thaumcraft and Botania as well as Electroblob's Wizardry and Magic Kingdoms as well as quality of life mods like Rustic and Quark. Generally, just about every aspect of the block game as been modified in some way, for better or worse.

The overworld is also overhauled with TerraFirmaCraft, which means your first few nights may be more challenging, but progressing past stone tier in TerraFirmaCraft is optional if you do not wish to, getting the copper saw is sufficient.

The name comes from the original idea of the project, which was to fundamentally change the game of Minecraft to be unrecognizable from vanilla Minecraft.
