About
Description
How to Train Your FirmaDragon is an immersive survival modpack that brings together the harsh realism of TerraFirmaCraft and the mythical creatures of Book of Dragons.
The modpack completely changes how you progress in Minecraft. You won't be punching trees or mining diamonds right away. Instead, you start in the Stone Age, picking up loose rocks to knap primitive tools and molding clay for basic pottery. Surviving means paying attention to the climate, managing your body temperature, finding fresh drinking water, and preserving food before winter arrives.
Once you conquer the elements and work your way up to metallurgy, your true goal begins. You will need to explore the wilderness to track down wild dragons, learn how to approach them safely, and eventually craft the specialized gear needed to ride them.
World and Integration The world generation naturally blends TFC's complex geological rock layers and mountain ranges with ancient Viking ruins and dragon nests. The crafting system and economy are also fully custom. You will use realistic TFC metals like bronze, cast iron, and steel to craft Viking anvils and tools, while trading with unique wandering merchants to aid your journey.
How to get started
Gather: Look for loose stones and sticks on the ground to knap your first flint tools.
Survive: Build a basic shelter, secure a clean water source, and gather wild crops before the seasons change.
Forge: Wash gravel for copper nuggets, build pit kilns, and progress through TFC's realistic smithing system.
Tame: Once you have the right gear and metal, head to the highlands to find a nest and bond with your first dragon.
Recommended Specs I recommend allocating 6GB to 8GB of RAM for the game to run smoothly. If your PC can handle it, adding a lightweight shader pack is highly recommended to really bring the landscapes and dragon flights to life.
