About

Description

Hyperion I is a modpack I've made that takes Minecraft's progression and stuffs it full of mods that force the player to do a variety of tasks and collect a variety of items to ultimately craft eyes of ender, defeat the dragon, and even transcend into creative mode with a very powerful, yet also very expensive item- the "Technological Singularity."

This modpack isn't just a ton of mods I stuffed into a modpack. I've used KubeJS to modify certain parts of the base game, like removing or modifying some recipes and adding tons of intermediate ingredients made from modded materials, to force the player to delve into the mods in this modpack.

The mods I grafted together to ultimately create a modpack that, on average, should take ~100 days to complete are as follows:

  • Create: This modpack is relatively create mod centric, as many create components are needed for many necessary crafts in the progression.
  • No Log Punch: You can no longer punch trees to collect wood. Instead, make a flint tool from a flint and a stick, diagonally, so you don't end up accidentally making a flint knife instead.
  • Tinker's Construct: Vanilla tools are completely uncraftable here and the vanilla crafting table is only obtainable post-steel, forcing you to use the crafting station and tinker's construct tools in the early-game
  • The Aether: An absolute classic, the aether is home to materials you will be needing for further progression in the early-game.
  • Ad Astra!: Approaching mid-game in this modpack means space travel, as many resources in the future are based on materials found on the planets of Ad Astra.
  • Deeper and Darker: Approaching late-game means delving through the deep dark and the otherside. Yes, this means you will have to kill wardens, not 'warden,' WARDENS. PLURAL. Once you've completed the first chapter of late game, you should have the first material needed to craft the infinity alloy, the barrier of entry for eyes of ender.
  • Hyperion Bosses: A custom mod I made for this modpack that adds elemental bosses into the game that drop elemental cores that are necessary for the infinity alloy. Also adds a few features that I couldn't do in KubeJS, like the technological singularity.
  • There are other mods in this pack, but the ones listed above are the major ones in progression.

I did quite a lot of extra work on this modpack, partially because I wanted it to be perfect, but also because last time I released a modpack, it was ridiculously easy and didn't do well (I'm refering to "Create: Superflat Industry").

I've had this project technically done for nearly a year and for some reason never felt like uploading it until today. As a matter of fact, I've had time to make Hyperion II in it's entirety, and I'm not posting it until I feel it's been long enough.

If you are confused on where to start or just generally need to know more about the pack, the questline has a lot of useful information that could help you along your way through the game.
