Buildcraft is a well known mod with interesting functions with its gates and piping
Thermal Expansion gives you a lot of tech to mess with that are easy to use
IC2 is a classic energy based mod with special tiers of electrical levels
Minefactory Reloaded is another mod well known and only available in older versions
Rotarycraft and Reactorcraft are mods made by Reika which are realistic power based mods using rotations, speed and torque for power
