Introduction
This is the 1.21.1 continuation of my minecraft IRC modpack. It's a kitchen sink type of pack with the temperament of a skyblock. The original 1.12 pack started with a "bad" idea in the very beginning of december inspired by a tweet of SirNicholasX, which is "easteregged" in the corresponding questline. There were a few hundred many many ... many hours of work put to it until now(18.03.2026).

To tease a bit with shiny new stuff, there is an additional arena questline which will be expanded in future with more ambiance and sounds. Please be aware, I'm just a 47-year-old healthcare IT freelancer who spends his limited free time passionately working on content creation, scripting, gaming, and modding projects, so please don't be too harsh—just focus on what you like - like I do.

But you're too old to...” pls spare me your traditionalism at a young age and just be somewhere you're happier to be than being here.  I've been into PCs & gaming since I was 7 and so am I today.

So let's go to business ...

Modpack Title

I still love EE2 and ProjectE. I am very aware of their heavily overpowered mechanics which doesn’t fit well in anything other than skyblock based modpacks. I'm thinking this really could be a solution alleviation of the problem without using replacements I don't like.

Additionally, with the successor, what bugged me most with IRC vol.1 was the lack of modern minecraft, the loading times, the lack of modern vanilla content, the clunky UI. It has been a relaxed, funny and still challenging modpack for my personal use and we finally managed to lift it up to (at least) 1.21.1.

FEATURES:

[REWORKED] QUESTING: Solve completely voluntary ridicously oversized item quest completion goals. Obtain 'Scrolls of Unlocking' in 3 different tiers to unlock your next quest or use the new 'Key Scroll' to obtain bonus rewards. Earn coins irc dollars to buy valuable stuff  & much more from the shop.

There are quite a few other quests like Hunting-, Exploration- and Fetchquests for entertainment and variance.

[NEW!] ARENA:
All Citizens are equal by ID. Tributes fight. Benefactors are a pillar of the community.
Victors are revered. May the odds be always in your favor!

[NEW!] Fresh air in the mod landscape
:
This is meant to be a non-mainstream, streamlined and (relatively) quickloading experience with a high mod variability - a few brillant insider mods acompanied by alternatives to popular mods you might didn't expect.
For example: EMI, Forgiving Void, Oritech, Oracle Index or Basic Crafting(QoL)

EMC integration
done right: A less overpowered and minimal invasive ProjectE implementation. Not all EMC Exploits fixed, but at least many many of the best known do nothing (useful) and a very few are intentionally left open. EMC-Matter ratio is set to 0.32 at the moment, which equals a moderate difficulty setting. Let me know if this is still too easy for you!

[REWORKED] Bring the MINE back in Minecraft: Less ores spawn in worldgen, you won’t be overwhelmed by ten different ores every five blocks. I'm still a fan of controlled ore gen, so I am constantly tweaking the mod spawn rates for gems and ores spawn environment. Not too much stuff, not to few ores, providing a balanced experience if I find a fitting mod in future, I'll bring features like geodes and fractals back.

[REWORKED] ECONOMY: We found a successor to the dead and vanished FTBMoney(Thx FTB Team) with an included ItemShop with easy currency management, still our great physical currency( coins irc dollars) and virtual currency(coins from Quest Shop). So we kept the many FTB Quests automation possibilities.

additional features

  • Arena Quests: Citizen, welcome to this world. Please keep your ID card ready at all time and may the odds be always in your favor.
  • Make Villages great again: Sparse villages with ridicolous distance in between. You spawn in a village and that might turn out to be a bonus, but finding the next one could be challenging
  • Mod reliability: The modpack is high load but also highly reliable.
  • Ambience&Animations: New Animations and Ambience mods for smooth & immersive surroundings.
  • Fixed Monster AI and additional Mob effects for a better fighting experience than vanilla. They hear  you and they changed their vanilla behaviour a bit.

Bonus content: After the pack is stable, there will be a soundpack "DLC" and a new IRC Perimeter Stories Youtube Series.

Progress: unbloody Beta 2

Feature Status:
Major:
-Questing (about 85% done, Lots of FTB questing logic and lots of KubeJS and CraftTweaker Scripting)
-Arena System(RC working)
-Fresh Air in the Mod Landscape(Growing, Shrinking, Infusing, EMI, approx 80% done)
-bring the MINE back in Minecraft (50% done, mekanism is the main ore mod, some tweaks needed)
-EMC Integration(90% done, some emc values missing)
-Economy (done for now, some content missing)
-Infrastructure (90% done, stable, medium loading time, could maybe perform better, mod director setup cancelled, some stuff is integrated via datapacks)

Minor:
-Sparse villages (100% done - works)
-Forestry&Bees(75% done, productive bees installed, farming mod still needed)
-Mod reliability(90% done)

-Optifine integration via mod-director (nope, sodium this time, FPS performance is quite amazing so far)
-Ambience&Animations(66% done, sounds for quests missing, some animations missing)
-Fixed Monster AI and additional Mob effects(90% done, they changed move patterns and yes, they can hear you)

"I ONCE AGAIN would like to explicitly thank all the content creators of the original modpack. This is a new endeavour, but I still value your works and respect your licenses. With this modpack I want to pass on a small part of the joy to my players,  that you give to all of us with your mods every day to make us happy. I hope so much that suceeds."

Thanks and all the best,

Faber.
