Description

Isekraft: Chronicle of the Hive

Reincarnate. Reclaim the Seven Seals. End the Hive.

A story-driven adventure pack for NeoForge 1.21.1 with 259 mods. It brings together isekai magic, Cobblemon, dragons, 18 boss mods, eight extra dimensions, a working tavern, and a hand-built preset world with two towns and an archipelago of ten islands. A narrated questbook of 1,045 quests ties it all into one story.

The story

«Notice. Reincarnation complete. Individual designation: unknown. Threat assessment: the Hive is waking.»
— the Great Sage

Ages ago the Ancients ruled the deep places of the world, with the dragons as their allies. Then the Hive rose from beneath the insect realms. Its Queen bends gravity and time, its King is a three-headed tyrant, and its swarms devoured whole worlds and twisted dragonkind into the Draconian Swarm.

The Ancients could not win, so they sealed the Hive with Seven Seals and gave each one to a Warden in a far realm. Then the Ancients fell.

Now the Seals are failing. The Wardens have gone mad or wild, and the swarm nests are spreading.

You are a soul reincarnated into this world, with a voice in your head: the Great Sage. Reclaim the Seven Seals, forge the Ancients' Key, descend into the Underside, and end the Hive. Then go deeper, and find what made it.

What's inside

📜 A questbook that tells a story

  • 45 chapters and 1,045 quests, organised the way the best expert packs do it: a main Chronicle in six acts, a finale and a post-game, plus side chapters for every system.
  • Narrated by the Great Sage: every chapter opens with a «Notice.»
  • Each of the Seven Seals is guarded by a Warden boss in a different realm. Together with the Dragon Pact, they forge the Ancients' Key that opens the endgame.
  • Loot bags in four tiers, Ancient Coins, and a custom illustrated background for every chapter.

🔮 Reincarnation and magic

  • Tensura: Reincarnated with the Great Sage add-on: evolve from a nobody into a True Demon Lord.
  • Iron's Spells 'n Spellbooks for spell schools, and Goety for forbidden necromancy.

⚡ Cobblemon, everywhere

  • Cobblemon with Fight or Flight: your partners fight beside you and wild Pokémon fight back.
  • Radical Cobblemon Trainers: gyms, badges and rival trainers on the Trainer's Road.
  • Mega Showdown for Mega Evolution, and Legendary monuments to find.
  • Cobbleworkers: Pokémon tend your crops, water your fields, gather honey and berries, and fuel your furnaces.
  • Hundreds of extra Pokémon skins and variants:
    • FailSkins.
    • Bonus Variants: forest, arctic, cave, night and more versions that spawn naturally.
    • Cobblemon Sweets and Pidove Variants.
    • They load into every world automatically.

🎨 Visuals

  • Complementary Shaders – Reimagined comes on by default. It gives warm, cinematic lighting while keeping Minecraft's

look, and works with Distant Horizons. Press K to toggle it, or O for settings.

  • Fresh Animations with its Player Extension bring mobs and players to life.
  • Better Leaves makes forests bushy, and RCT Trainers+ gives the Cobblemon trainers richer looks.

🐉 Dragons

  • Saint's Dragons: eggs, taming, armour and the Draconian Swarm, with Ivy the dragon merchant as your first ally.
  • How to Train Your Dragon dragons (Night Fury, Deadly Nadder, Gronckle and more), rebalanced to sit alongside Saint's dragons.

⚔️ Bosses and combat

  • 18 boss mods, including L_Ender's Cataclysm, Mowzie's Mobs, Born in Chaos, Bosses of Mass Destruction, Aquamirae, Goety, Legendary Monsters, Wither: Reincarnated and Ender Dragon Fight Remastered. Boss Checklist tracks them all.
  • Epic Fight, Simply Swords, Apotheosis affixes and Mythic Upgrades.

🌌 Realms beyond

  • The Twilight Forest, the Aether and Deep Aether, Eternal Starlight, the Bumblezone, the Undergarden, Deeper and Darker, and the Abyss.
  • Antarchy's insect realms, the Hive's home.

🧭 Exploration

  • Distant Horizons: see for miles.
  • Immersive Aircraft and Create Aeronautics to cross them.
  • When Dungeons Arise, YUNG's, Towns and Towers, Explorify and Moog's structures, all with Lootr, over Terralith, Tectonic and Regions Unexplored terrain.
  • Waystones, Xaero's maps, and Sophisticated Backpacks.

🍺 Life, food and building

  • Kaleidoscope Tavern, Cookery and World Liquor: run a tavern, brew, and cook.
  • Farmer's Delight, Croptopia, and Spice of Life for food variety.
  • MineColonies and Create: rebuild a civilisation the Hive can't swallow.
  • MCA Reborn: villagers become people with names, families and jobs. Guard Villagers keep them safe.
  • Block Pack, Handcrafted, Voxelized Furniture, Supplementaries, FramedBlocks and more for building.

🏝️ The preset world

The pack includes a hand-crafted world, Chronicle of the Hive - Seawake. Pick it from Singleplayer, or run it as your server's world.

  • Seawake: you wake in a fishing village on a bay. It has a cobbled plaza, a tavern and trading post, a watch hall, houses, and a lantern-lit pier.
  • Kingsmere: the old royal town across the bay, with a great hall, twin manors and a market stage. A lantern road runs along the shore between the two.
    • Both towns are lived in. MCA Reborn villagers, each with a bed and a trade, have their own names and personalities. Guards, golems and cats keep the towns company.
  • The Shattered Sea: walk to the end of Seawake's pier and the waystone carries you across to Brass Harbor. It's the heart of an archipelago dimension of ten great islands:
    • Brass Harbor, a steampunk trade city, and Settlers' Reach, a free town.
    • Secra, with a serpent sunk around its harbour, and Suijin, city of the water god.
    • Paraprax, the Great Tree, and Ursaross, the crater.
    • Brethra, the snow citadel, and Zhaigril, a storm temple floating above its island.
    • The Sunken Farlands, and Wraithra, the skull prison.
  • Every island is a complete world map, given a natural coastline. Islands sit at least 500 blocks of open water apart: sail, wade, fly or ride a dragon between them. Each has a waystone to discover.
  • An atlas chapter in the questbook shows the whole sea as a map, with a quest on every island.

💛 Island builds by shovel241

The ten islands and the April Towny buildings in Seawake and Kingsmere are the work of shovel241, used in this pack with his permission. The pack would not exist without them.

Requirements

Minecraft 1.21.1 (NeoForge 21.1.259)
Memory 12–14 GB recommended (10 GB minimum). Distant Horizons, Cobblemon and Antarchy are memory-hungry
Java 21 (the CurseForge launcher handles this)
Shaders Optional: Iris is included, so drop a shader pack into shaderpacks/

🖥️ Dedicated server

Download Isekraft-0.2.0-server.zip from the Files tab.

  • It includes all server-side mods, configs, quests and Cobblemon skin packs, and the full preset world with both

towns, their townsfolk and the Shattered Sea.

  • Unzip it and run start.sh (Linux/macOS) or start.bat (Windows). The first run installs NeoForge by itself, then

asks you to accept the Minecraft EULA.

  • Needs Java 21 and 10–12 GB RAM. Full steps are in the server's README.md.

Getting started

  1. Install the pack and set the memory (CurseForge: profile ⋯ → Profile Options → Allocated Memory).
  2. Choose Singleplayer → Chronicle of the Hive - Seawake to play the preset world, or make a new world for a fresh start (without the towns and islands).
  3. Open the questbook and start with the Prologue. The Great Sage will take it from there.

FAQ

Can I play in a normal world?
Yes. Everything except the preset-world content (Seawake, Kingsmere and the Shattered Sea atlas chapter) works in any world.

Can I run it on a server?
Yes. Put the preset world in the server folder as the level (level-name in server.properties) and give it 10+ GB. Distant Horizons works on servers too.

Should I update the mods myself?
Please don't use CurseForge's "Update all". Several mods are pinned to versions that are tested together.

The game is slow when I first load in.
Distant Horizons builds its far-terrain view in the background during your first few minutes. It settles down after that.
