About
Description
A modpack for a private SMP server that I generally run for a few months per year and then delete. It's not that I don't like running it, it's just that I'm friends with a lot of people who lose interest in Minecraft servers after a month or so.
The main purpose of this modpack is to include as many mods that my friends have requested as possible. Most of the popular modpacks are missing at least one of the major technology and exploration mods that this one includes, so this may be useful if you also want a slightly silly number of mods. On the other hand, the popular modpacks may well be better tested and more actively maintained.
Version 2.0.0 runs well with 8 GB memory allocation, and has rare problems with 3 GB; I haven't narrowed down what it requires any more specifically than that.
The modpack includes an in-game guidebook which lists the major mods included and gives some information about how to get started with each of them. It includes crafting recipes for in-game mod guides, links to mod webpages and wikis, and overviews of the basic functionality of some mods.
The update schedule for this will generally be:
- A new major version that is not in any way backwards compatible sometime in December or January.
- Minor bug fix versions for any serious issues found in the two months or so after a new version is released.
- Complete and total neglect for the rest of the year.
All the included mods are available through Modrinth, so you can see a full list by looking at a specific version of the modpack.
