Journey: Start

JOURNEY: START IS NOT EXACTLY AN EASY TO RUN, LIGHT MODPACK. JUST BE AWARE THAT IF IT CRASHES, IT MIGHT BE BECAUSE OF INSUFFICIENT MEMORY STORAGE, NOT BECAUSE OF THE MODS. I SUGGEST USING ~6GB FOR MEMORY.

Do you want adventure? Magic? Maybe some technology to make your gameplay that much easier? Or perhaps just some food. I mean, I get it.

Whatever the case, Journey: Start is the modpack for you!

Starting with humble beginnings, mostly to ensure all mods will work together for the best playing experience possible, Journey: Start is an evolving experience.

Sometimes after playing survival for so long, you realize you're just going through the motions. Chop that tree, kill that dragon. Lather, rinse, repeat.

This modpack aims to make minecraft more exciting for old players using a carefully selected (probably large) group of mods that add more and unique gameplay, and ensure that as long as you're willing you'll have something new to do.

As of the second update, some of the highlights that make this modpack worth downloading are:

ASTRAL SORCERY

No longer will you feel the need to sleep through the night, as this magic mod is all about the stars in that beautiful sky. Finally live out your dreams of being a vampire creature who only cares about doing much of anything once the sun sets.

BOTANIA

This mod is added into many modpacks, maybe because it looks so pretty. But time and time again, youtubers, streamers, and content creators alike overlook this mod in favor of fancier, high risk high reward magic mods like Blood Magic (which is also in the modpack so I'm a hypocrite). Yes, the flowers are pretty, and yes, they glitter and make beautiful gardens. But delving beneath that, the world of Botania is intricate beyond belief. You'll find yourself using the bookmark feature in the Lexica Botania, just so you don't lose that one project you're working on. Live out an elf life, surrounding yourself with flowers, flowers, and more flowers.

PROJECT RED

Rubies, sapphires, and peridots make a good case for this mod by themselves, but if you're also like me and prefer an item-sorting mod that is physical and makes sense at a glance, this mod is worth putting resources into. Yes, you'll take up physical space with your chests, but there are ways using pipes to hide all of them in some far off basement.

PROJECTE

A throwback to the days when tekkit was the only modpack anybody played, ProjectE reintroduces equivalent exchange in the highest form. Create condensers and make diamonds out of sunlight, or work towards dark matter and become invincible. This was a necessity for this pack because it was the first mod I was ever into, and it's still such an amazing project. Nothing comes close to the gameplay that this mod provides.

Of course, all of the mods in this pack are worth exploring, but if you're going to take some time with any of them, these are some that need more credit.
