The shadows seem deeper tonight

Every creak of wood, every distant deer cry echoing through the trees sends shivers down your back.

Something is very wrong with this world - the air around you feels thick with malevolence and you can't seem to shake the feeling that something - or many somethings - are out there watching your every move. The comforting routine of familiar block gathering becomes a desperate struggle for survival against forces that lurk just beyond the edges of your torchlight.

But this is not just another exercise in frustration disguised as fear

While terror stalks, you wont find yourself overwhelmed by an endless parade of overpowered monsters within moments of your new world - unless your RNG is terrible and you get unlucky.

Every horror mod has been mindfully chosen. Every cursed mechanism has been carefully callibrated to create genuine dread without sacrificing playability. There is methodical tension through atmosphere and well-placed threats that challenge you to adapt and survive, rather than simply die repeatedly. Granted - this still may happen, but you'll learn quick.

You'll have the tools and opportunity to not only fight back, but to explore all of the incredible mods the Minecraft community have generously made, as well as build, settle and thrive in a world that definitely did not want you in it.

What lurks in the dark

Intelligent horrors stalk the same dimensions as you do. But that does not mean they play nice together.

- Spawn conditions have been adjusted so some entities remain incredibly rare - you might play for a week without encountering certain creatures, making their appearance genuinely shocking.
- HP and DP have been rebalanced across the board; a historically difficult mob now presents a challenging but conquerable encounter.
- Increased cooldowns random tick spawn conditions ensure they also appear at appropriate moments - rather than becoming annoying through repetition.
- Multiple dungeon, town, tower, and graveyard mods create countless opportunities for treasure hunting and collecting. Having more options than staying alive, POI's transform horror survival into strategic exploration, offering diverse gameplay.

Kindness amongst Chaos

Not everything is death and destruction. Essential and fun tools have been added to help you survive

- Sophisticated Backpacks expand your carrying capacity, and Corail Tombstones preserve your items upon death.
- Waystones provide fast travel between discovered locations.
- The Tickle Monster and Dapper Bunnies bring brief moments of cutsie.
- Limbs add absolutely no value to the game other than flopping.
- Collectors' Cards and Plushies found throughout the world bring a little bit of warmth back.



Content Creator Ready

This pack has been optimized specifically with Twitch streamers and YouTube content creators in mind.

- Complimentary Reimagined shaders have been tuned to deliver smooth FPS for recording or broadcasting. In testing, standing still surpassed 400FPS and moving through trees with mobs averaged about 100FPS.

- ExtremeSoundMuffler has also been configured and included to preserve the jumpscares and prevent levels that would be jarring for viewers. Everyone gets the full horror experience without wanting to tab out or find a new video to watch. Not every game sound has been edited, so you will still need to check individual sounds as you play.

Suggested System Requirements

With 339 mods collectively, this pack requires substantial system resources to run well. 14GB RAM sounds excessive, but is recommend and please keep the JVM arguments for the best experience. Anyone can play this pack, but fair warning - your computer may disagree.

Check that the provided resource packs have been enabled and depending on your PC specs - adjust your render distances relatively.
