About

Description

If the pack doesn't launch, try changing Java to Version 8. I'm not sure why that works, but it does.

With only 66 mods(according to the main menu), Kindred Journeys offers a much more focused experience than most other modpacks. You will be able to fully explore each of the major mods instead of rushing through them to get to the next. Recipes have been changed with the intent of keeping each mod distinct, but not independent from the others. Progression has also been modified, so some less-useful items have been made cheaper and chests are actually worth looting.

Some changed loot tables

Speaking of progression, this pack will provide challenges in a way that may be a bit different than what you're used to. Kindred Legacy is the most significant contributor, adding tamable mobs that help you fight as well as a plethora of hostile creatures. Special Mobs, Special AI, and Deadly World have been included to keep you on your toes, and an invasion of monsters will swarm towards you every full moon. All of these mods have been further customized to provide an interesting, yet fair, challenge. Death will always be avoidable, rather than inevitable.

Some changed recipes.Patchouli is used to provide documentation for things that don't have it as well as advice, and over 100 custom advancements have been added to provide goals to work towards. Certain advancements will even give rewards upon completion!

Quest advancements give rewards. They're useful!

This pack uses Botania, Immersive Engineering, the Twilight Forest, Cavern II, and Kindred Legacy as central progression mods. Other mods include Quark, Charm, Waystones, and Storage Drawers.

Oh, and one more thing. This pack should work perfectly fine in multiplayer, but because of the way the Game Stages work, be careful to not give items to people out of order. So, avoid giving them boss loot before they have the ability to fight the boss and all that. This usually messes up the invasions, but everything else should still be fine? No guarantees.
