Summary of the modpack:
The goal of this modpack, while yes, making lots of fundamental changes, some of them not necessarily making sense to a vanilla approach of modpack making, is more for a fun, goal orientated version of minecraft. You're never meant to be completely over-powered to the point it's not a challenge, not unless you put a lot of work into it. Tech-like mods are limited, and it should never be an experience of "a magic box does everything for you, then you put it into another magic box". Exploring is encouraged, but never should be (too) annoying. There should always be an option to craft an item to help you find whatever you're looking for [in regards to key structures].
What's in the works, or planned for this modpack:
Modpack quests, custom recipes to have a sense of progression, in-game book to help you out. Custom origins made for this pack. Custom mods as well that help make the progression from zero to hero more satisfying. An eventual combat overhaul is also planned eventually™
What state the modpack is ACTUALLY in currently:
The pack currently is in it's prototype phase. First I want to have an idea of what mods I want to include long-term, while also making my own mods, so I can ensure my mods are compatible with the ones currently present in this pack. The only reason the pack is even published is to make it easier for others to test for me, and for friends to play. In addition, having others play helps me understand any issues mods may bring in the long run, or some unbalanced mechanics, and how to change recipes to have a better sense of progression, in addition to seeing how I can force the player to interact with a majority of the mods present. Currently, mods regarding origins, or chest cavity, may or may not be replaced with my own take/version of it.
tl;dr It's in it's really early stages. Uploaded for the sake of convenience for others. To be frank, it's nothing special currently.
Should you download it?
Currently, the only reason you should be downloading it, is because you're a close friend of mine, or friend of a friend. OR, you want to download it just to follow the updates till eventually it's more stable or finalized. Currently, it's a relatively volatile modpack, and is quite unstable (if you are one of my friends, pretend you didn't read that). But if you want to download it just for the sake of it. Just remember I'm an amateur modpack maker, even more new to the modding scene in terms of producing them. So do expect things to break.
That being said, in my experience most new update modpacks are also volatile, if not more so than this one. So I will probably upload a server-modpack (a version to run on a server if you want to host for friends, this will get rid of any client-side mods, or mods that don't play too nice with servers.
