KrysCraft II

Description

A Fabric modpack centered around the Create mod, but with a rich and vibrant world of many creatures and structures. Places for trains to go! Also the pack is harder than normal.

This pack was created primary to play with Create trains. As such there were a few guiding principles in it's creation:

  1. Storing stuff should talk up space, so no Refined Storage or AE2 or anything like that.
  2. Transporting stuff should require physically transporting them, so no Ender Chests or Tanks or teleportation. ... Make trains!
  3. The world should be beautiful and there should be places to go in trains. So spread out, build things far from each other and don't be compact.
  4. Use trains! :D

The result, however, seems to have ended up being a decent exploration modpack, with Create added. I think.

Features

  • The Create Mod
  • Better visual experience (shader pack included)
  • Lots of animals
  • New terrain generation
  • Lots of food, even wine and beer
  • Thirst and temperature
  • Harder hostile mobs
  • Harder to get to the End (Need to find many different kinds of Ender Eyes to open the portal)
  • Much harder Ender Dragon
  • More boss mobs
  • More mob varieties
  • Much better villages, more villagers and guards
  • Lots more structures, dungeons, etc. to explore
  • Lots more building blocks/items to make things pretty
  • Several quality of life improvements
  • And more!

Warnings

  • This pack is barely play-tested, it is probably unbalanced
  • This is a pretty large modpack, you will need a beefy computer
  • A shader pack is enabled by default, you will need a beefy graphics card
  • Benchmarked against my core i9 and RTX 2060 with V-Sync off and I get about 30-50 FPS
  • There are probably too many structures
  • There are probably too many foods
  • I made this pack for myself, if anyone else wants to play it, they are welcome to, but I do not intend to maintain this pack or debug it for others.
  • Use at your own risk, caveat emptor, here be dragons, fairly warned be thee

Some Starting Tips

  • Shaders are turned on by default and expected to be used. - If it is really killing your FPS, turning it off or reducing your render distance will be the biggest bangs for your buck. But also the saddest.
  • Look up the Dehydration and EnvironmentZ mods if you don't want to die quickly. :D
  • Recommend not starting in cold or hot biomes unless you want to die quickly. :D -- logs added to campfires are your friend if you do.
  • The Nether is much harder, iron armour won't cut it, at least, I got my butt handed to me a lot with only iron armour. Maybe you will do better.
  • Explore! There is so much to see and discover. :)
  • If you want to make things pretty, not just functional, there are lots of aesthetic stuff included.

Recommended Additions

This was left out due to performance reasons, but if you have the horse power, I recommend adding it in yourself:

Inspirations and Credits

A few other modpacks were used as the inspirations for this one. I have mostly just merged what I liked from each of modpacks below and then added some other mods I thought would be cool:

Licence

Do whatever you want with this modpack. I made it for myself and a few friends. All credit should go to the mod authors and the modpack authors mentioned above that inspired this.

FAQ (Not Really)

  1. How do I submit bugs or suggestions?

You don't. I am not maintaining this pack. My friends can contact me directly.
