Description
I made a 1.12.2, Life in the Woods inspired, modpack.
This pack is primarily about exploration and homesteading.
So, expect to stumble on interesting structures on your journeys!
To help with the exploration, you'll be able to craft backpacks and bedrolls to keep your pace fun and active.
But when you do settle down, dig into Animalia's overhaul of farming animals and tons of new crops with Pam's.
All the new recipes and foods can be overwhelming. So, Cooking for Blockheads is included to make cooking a bit less tedious.
Speaking of less tedious, in the theme of this low-tech modpack, Better With Mods provides some flavor to how you process your resources.
There are also tons of aesthetic mods, such as Macaw's and Decocraft, to get your homestead exactly how you want it.
Go live you're cottagecore dreams!
(You will have to set your World Type to Biomes O' Plenty when you create your world!)
You will not be able to start off with wooden tools!
To get on your way, begin by punching a tree. (Not the bottom stump.)
You will obtain some wood planks, sawdust, and bark.
You'll also need to find some flint. However, when you punch gravel, you will not get the block.
You can craft gravel blocks:

And from gravel, you can craft flint:

Once you have enough wood planks for a crafting table and some sticks,
you can craft some tools:
A shovel will get you the whole gravel block instead of the dust.
And you can set off on mining with a flint pickaxe!
JEI should see you forward from here.
Have fun exploring and farming!
