Description

SELF-SATIS RPG

A curated 1.20.1 Forge RPG modpack — class-based combat, souls-like bosses, and a proper progression grind, built for small-group multiplayer.

Overview

Self-satis RPG turns vanilla Minecraft into a full action-RPG: pick a class, master a combat skill tree, hunt down legendary weapons, and take on boss fights that actually punish you for button-mashing. It's built as a tight, hand-picked pack rather than a kitchen-sink collection — every mod earns its place in the combat, loot, or dungeon loop.

Class-Based & Skill-Based Combat

  • Epic Fight is the combat backbone — timing-based weapon combos, stamina management, and animation-driven attacks replace vanilla's click-spam.
  • Origins + Origins: Classes + Strictly Origins let you pick a class/origin that shapes how you play from the start.
  • A huge Epic Fight weapon library — Simply Swords EpicFied, Too Many Bows, Weapons of Miracles, Excalibur, and more — adds uniquely modeled, uniquely animated legendary weapons instead of reskinned vanilla items.
  • Epic Fight: Skill Tree and Iron's Spells 'n Spellbooks integration bring spellcasting and skill progression into the same combat system.
  • Auto Leveling and Apothic Attributes tie your gear and combat power into a real leveling curve.

Boss Fights & Dungeons

  • Cataclysm, Bosses of Mass Destruction, Cracker's Wither Storm, and Mowzie's Mobs/Cataclysm deliver multi-phase, arena-style boss encounters built for a group to take down together.
  • Bosses' Rise: Epic Souls-like Boss Fights adds dedicated souls-like encounters with real telegraphed attack patterns.
  • The full YUNG's suite (Better Dungeons, Strongholds, Mineshafts, Nether Fortresses, Ocean Monuments, Desert/Jungle Temples, Witch Huts, Caves) rebuilds every vanilla structure into something worth exploring.
  • Structory and Structory: Towers add brand-new dungeon structures on top of the vanilla set.

Loot & Progression

  • Lootr and Loot Beams: Relooted! make loot personal and visible, so nobody's fighting over who opens the chest first.
  • Sophisticated Storage and Sophisticated Backpacks handle inventory management once the loot starts piling up.
  • Artifacts, Mythic Upgrades, and Waystones round out a proper mid-to-late-game progression and fast-travel loop.
  • FTB Quests ties the whole pack together with guided quest lines instead of leaving you to figure out progression blind.

World & Exploration

  • Terralith overhauls world generation with dramatically better terrain and biomes.
  • The Aether, Alex's Caves, Alex's Mobs, Ice and Fire: Dragons, and Whisperwoods add whole new dimensions, cave systems, and creatures to explore and fight.
  • Xaero's Minimap and World Map keep you from getting lost in all of it.

Built to Run Well

This pack is tuned to stay playable on modest hardware, not just high-end rigs:

  • ModernFix, FerriteCore, and Clumps cut memory usage and loading times.
  • Embeddium (Sodium for Forge) plus Oculus for shader support, so you get performance and shader compatibility instead of picking one.
  • Jade, Enhanced Boss Bars, Legendary Tooltips, and JEI keep information on-screen without extra client-side overhead.

Details

  • Minecraft Version: 1.20.1
  • Mod Loader: Forge 47.4.10
  • Mod Count: ~119
  • Recommended Players: Small groups (2–6 players)

Built for a small friend group that wanted real RPG progression — class builds, boss fights worth preparing for, and loot worth fighting over — without needing a supercomputer to run it.
