About

Description

Light on the Land is a modpack designed to be played on a server with others that are unfamiliar with mods or on a long-term single-player world with building as the focus. Most mods add just a few blocks and items here and there for quality of life improvements. It is moderately optimized and is made to run on as many machines as possible.

It includes world generation from Biomes You'll Go and Better End to provide a more diverse block palette and new environments to build in. Portals found out in the end can even make living in the new biomes of the end a viable option.

The largest mod in this pack is Create which is intended to give those that like a little automation some more room to work with than what's provided in vanilla minecraft. The new update provides a form of tutorial for those unfamiliar with the mod.

Mods like spartan weaponry provide more of a horizontal tree for weapons and tools by making it so there isn't one weapon better than the rest but numerous with their own trade-offs.

Also contains several mods that are created specifically to fit the gameplay and aesthetic of normal minecraft such as Quark, Inspirations, Supplementaries, and more.

Aside from new world generation, this mod is playable completely vanilla without having to even touch a mod while also preventing those that do use mods from having a significant advantage over those who do not.

With the right configuration this modpack can be played with a minimum of 1.5GB of allocated memory, however, 2-4GB are recommended for playing on a server and 4-6GB of allocated memory are recommended for playing in singleplayer.
