Description

Overview

MagiTech Modern combines many popular mods from every aspect of the Modding Scene with Tech, Magic and Exploration. This is backed by 1100+ Quests with more to come ranging from the Create Mod all the way to Mekanism and Occultism which all have lootbag-like rewards. Additionally, there are a handful of Quality of Life Mods like the Toolbelt to enhance your experience as well as many generated structures, making the world feel immersive. With some recipes being changed to fit the somewhat linear progression of the Pack, you have a clear path to follow if you ever feel lost. But for those who'd like to play a more kitchen-sink approach to have the freedom to choose your own path, there is always the option to reverse the recipe changes.

Quest Progression

Quick Runthrough

You start your journey with like your normal vanilla playthrough until you've gathered your first Iron. This is your entry to the Create Mod from which your MagiTech journey starts. Create: New Age makes the perfect transition from rotational force to electric energy. From here, you have your first encounter with the magical side of this Pack as you enter the Mod Eidolon. With the combined power of Create: New Age's Reactor and Eidolon, the path to Thermal Expansion is clear and you enter the Age of compact Machinery. Thermal marks a turning point in the linear progression as you have the choice now to get into the versitile collection of machines, Applied Energistic's digital storage, more Magic by starting Evil Craft or the power of the Sun by using Solar Flux Reborn's solar panels. The solar panels can be placed inside the Twilight Forest Dimension for increased energy production incentivising the exploration in this magical world. If you've reached the point where you looked in all of these mods, you can progress further in technology with Industrial Foregoing. Playing this mod and starting Blood Magic unlocks more advanced energy generation with Powah. Now comes the time of rituals and sacrifices as you need to complete Occultism to get the resources required to get to the next mod in the technological progression: Nuclear Craft. As the name of the mod already implies, you now enter the Nuclear Age with Reactors and advanced processing arrays. Ranging from a small Fission Reactor with Uranium Fuel all the way to a large Fusion Reactor fusing elements together, creating large amounts of heat which translates to power, this mod got it all. But if this is a little much for you, you can make the Reactor and Turbine from Bigger Reactors at the cost of starting Forbidden & Arcanus, another Magic Mod. The Reactor is much simpler, does not have the risk of overheating and can create large amounts of power without too much thinking involved unlike in Nuclear Craft. If you haven't completed Botania by now, there is no better time to do it as this is your last step to the Endgame with Mekanism. Once you've reached the Fusion Reactor, your journey is pretty much done.

Unless you like a good challenge as there is one more mod that is not mantioned jet: GregTech CEu. It is a lengthy and sometimes tedious but super rewarding journey, that's why it is optional to play.
