About
Description
This modpack was created for 1.7.10 as a callback to some of the old magic mods that have not received updates past that version, or have so drastically changed that they play differently. Due to the basic nature of this pack, it will not be for everyone, but that is ok. This lightweight pack is all about being a wizard or witch, in whatever form that may take for you. This is a focused pack so the choices may seem limiting, however I believe in this case it will enhance the experience.
This modpack includes about 50 mods in total, of which there are only 4 primary magic mods: Thaumcraft (plus some addons), Ars Magica, Witchery, and Electroblob's Wizardry. Between these four mods you will be able to experience most of the old nostalgic sensation of installing a bunch of cool magic mods back in the day. There are no distractions, every little niche of gameplay will not have a mod, this is on purpose contrary to many of my usual modpacks.
The only worldgen mods are Biomes O' Plenty and Twilight Forest. The only decoration mod is Bibliocraft. This is all to make a very lightweight, focused modpack for some of our old favorites.
I recommend dedicating 4GB RAM to run this modpack, as it is rather light. You may even be able to get away with shaders, I haven't tried it though.
