Description
What Is MANPIG?
This is a modpack centered around progressing through several dimensions at your own pace. We have made (and are making) extensive use of FTB Quests to attempt to guide players through unfamiliar mods and give them a sense of direction. That being said, you don't need to follow these quests, as their purpose is just that: a way to teach players mods they don't know. We are also using Patchouli for this purpose, and introducing new items and features using KubeJS.
What Does "Progression" Entail?
That depends on what you want to do. If you would prefer not to mine much, you could work on setting up a Crusher Spirit from Occultism to stretch ores out into many ingots/gems, making life easier in the future. If you like tech, we have Mekanism (minus the Meka Suit and Atomic Disassembler). If you like magic, we have Iron's Spells 'n Spellbooks for combat, or Ars Nouveau and some addons if you'd prefer to create custom spells (though you will find that the offensive spells you can create with Ars are much weaker than usual). If you'd just rather fight a bunch of creatures and bosses, you can try to rush your way through the vanilla dimensions to get to the interesting fights. Our goal here is to make a modpack that has a little of something for everyone, encouraging players to branch out into several routes of progression.
Why "MANPIG"?
The name of the modpack is an acronym for "Making A New Pack I Guess," which was what I initially titled the modpack I was creating for myself and a couple of friends.
Why is Bewitchment here? I thought it wasn't supposed to have a Forge version?
I have permission to use a modified version of the Bewitchment .jar (which is not listed on CurseForge, and as such will not be visible within the CurseForge app) that works with Sinytra Connector. The version of Bewitchment that is visible within the CurseForge app should be left disabled, as it is solely present to give Moriya credit for the download. It will cause crashes when used on Forge via Sinytra Connector. Below is a screenshot of Moriya granting me permission to do this (with a weird aspect ratio because of the width limit of images on CurseForge, since I didn't bother to resize an image).
