The Chronicles of Verona is a narrative-driven steampunk–fantasy project set in a late medieval city on the brink of industrial revolution. In Verona, a tyrannical ruler and a corrupt church enforce a brutal law: no good deed goes unpunished. Acts of kindness are treated as threats, as they build trust, unity, and ultimately resistance.

Players/readers follow individuals who abandon their former lives for freedom, knowledge, or truth and gradually form a rebel movement beyond the city’s walls. The project explores moral choices, political oppression, faith as a tool of control, and the clash between steel, steam-powered machinery, magic, and belief. What begins as personal survival evolves into an organized uprising that challenges the throne and decides the fate of Verona’s future.

Die Chroniken von Verona ist ein erzählerisch geprägtes Steampunk-Fantasy-Projekt in einer spätmittelalterlichen Stadt am Beginn der Industrialisierung. Ein tyrannischer Herrscher und eine korrupte Kirche unterdrücken die Bevölkerung durch ein grausames Gesetz: Keine gute Tat bleibt ungestraft. Hilfe, Hoffnung und Zusammenhalt gelten als Verbrechen.

Im Mittelpunkt stehen Menschen, die ihre Vergangenheit hinter sich lassen und sich außerhalb der Stadtmauern zu einer Rebellion zusammenschließen. Das Projekt thematisiert moralische Entscheidungen, Machtmissbrauch, Glauben als Herrschaftsinstrument sowie den Konflikt zwischen Magie, Stahl und Dampfmaschinen – bis sich entscheidet, welches Zeitalter Verona beherrschen wird.
