Mechanica is a modpack where engineering meets creativity. Everything here is built around one thing — figuring out how stuff works and then making it work for you.

You start like any other Minecraft world. Punch trees, gather stone, smelt some iron. But pretty quickly you realize this isn't your average survival experience. That iron isn't just for tools — it's the first step toward something much bigger. Gears start spinning, conveyor belts start moving, and before you know it you've got a fully automated factory running 24/7 while you're off exploring a magical forest or flying a biplane over mountain ranges.

That's Mechanica. A world where the deeper you go, the more satisfying it gets.

The mechanical side of the pack is where it really shines. Create lets you build contraptions that actually move — rotating shafts, mechanical presses, mixers, deployers, and steam engines that power the whole operation. It's not just automation, it's visual automation. You can watch every gear turn and every belt carry items across your factory floor. Pair that with Mekanism's industrial processing chains and you've got ore processing that goes from basic smelting all the way to 5x output with a full chemical production line behind it. And when your storage situation becomes a nightmare — because it will — Applied Energistics 2 steps in with a digital storage network that puts everything at your fingertips. Autocrafting, import/export buses, wireless terminals. The full package.

Immersive Engineering adds that raw, industrial aesthetic that makes your base feel like it belongs in a factory district. Multiblock machines, wire connections, blast furnaces and diesel generators. It's gritty and it looks incredible next to a Create contraption.

But Mechanica isn't just about machines. The building tools in this pack are some of the best available. Chipped alone gives you hundreds of block variants across wood, stone, glass, and more — all craftable through dedicated workbenches. Handcrafted and MrCrayfish's Refurbished Furniture fill your base with chairs, tables, couches, desks, kitchens, and bathrooms. Supplementaries adds the finishing touches — hanging signs, decorative jars, globes, notice boards, and dozens of little details that make a space feel lived in. You can build a factory that looks like a factory, or a cozy cottage that happens to have a fully automated underground operation beneath it. Nobody's stopping you.

When you need a break from building, there's plenty to do. The Twilight Forest and Deeper and Darker add new dimensions packed with bosses, loot, and unique resources. Ars Nouveau brings magic into the mix — spell books, source generation, and magical creatures called Starbuncles that can handle your item logistics. Immersive Aircraft lets you build and fly planes, helicopters, and airships across the world. Farmer's Delight overhauls the food system with proper cooking mechanics, new crops, and hearty meals that actually feel rewarding to make.

The whole pack is held together by quality of life mods that respect your time. FTB Ultimine for vein mining. Waystones so you're never stranded far from home. Xaero's Minimap and World Map so you always know where you are. Sophisticated Backpacks for serious portable storage. Carry On so you can actually move your machines when you change your mind about the layout — and you will change your mind about the layout.

A quest book walks you through everything from your first iron ingot to your first fission reactor, so you're never completely lost even if a mod is new to you.

Mechanica isn't trying to overwhelm you. It's trying to give you every tool you could possibly want to build something worth showing off — and then the machines to make it all run automatically while you go build something else.

Start small. Think big. Let it run.
