Description
Welcome to MetaKnight's Adventure Pack - Enchanted Edition! (MK's AP EE for short)
This pack is mainly focused on adventure, exploration, and combat, but features plenty of tech and magic plus quality-of-life as well!
Memory Requirements (RAM)
Minimum memory: 6 GB RAM. Even with this much memory creating a world can take quite some time, please be patient! :)
Recommended for v10 onward in the Nether: 8 GB. You should be able to get away with 6 when playing on a server, since the reason for the lag is chunk related, which is handled mainly by the server.
Main Features
- Tons of dungeons! Battletowers, airships, huge castles, and so on!
- More bosses for early to midgame, and endgame as well!
- Not all structures are evil, you may find a castle village for example, or an abandoned shelter to inhabit!
- A complete rework of the vanilla combat system with dodge rolling! Cast mighty and highly-customizable spells, play as a heavily-armored Knight, dual wield powerful axes; the build possibilities are nearly limitless!
- Infernal mobs and more common rare encounters such as Charged Creepers for a greater challenge!
- Many of the dungeons are towers are high in the sky, which pairs well with the Paraglider mod!
- Play the team-based tower defense Nexus gamemode and enjoy the combat system in a PvP setting! (In recommended mods)
- Limitless contraptions with the Create mod!
Main QoL
- No more RNG on enchantments with an upgraded table! It's pricey, but well worth it!
- Enchantments can now be seen in full instead of only the first one!
- Uncraft unwanted items or even loot from dungeons with the Uncrafting Table!
- Start with basic gear so you can get to the best part faster!
- Sort your items with Simple Storage Network, so you can focus less on sorting through loot and more on getting more!
- Third person view is more playable in combat situations with 8-directional movement!
- Create torches that prevent mob spawns (except spawners) in a large radius!
- More powerful golem types, your base's safety is assured!
Config Changes
Minimap & World Map
- Xaero's maps will no longer notify about updates during startup.
- Disabled entity radar by default.
Cheat Mode
- Cheat Mode is opened with a button rather than automatically in survival mode with cheats on.
Better Combat
- Movement speed during attacking increased from 0.5 to 0.8. Dual shortswords feel much better after this change, give them a try!
- Attack speed multiplier for off-handed during dual wielding increased from 1.2 to 1.5. I ran the numbers, and this evens out the DPS difference between dual Shortswords and heavy two-handers with full Netherite weapons vs full Netherite armor. (Two-handed still has the reach advantage!)
- Damage multiplier when dual wielding (two 1-handed weapons) set to 0.85. The damage was a bit much with flat damage buffs and enchants like Sharpness, and even with this nerf dual wielding is still very strong!
- Added 'the_incinerator' to Claymore fallback compatibility. In English, this means that an Incinerator will now have Better Combat mechanics.
- Added 'infernal_forge' to Hammer fallback compatibility.
- Disabled SwingThroughGrass. Attacking instead of mining when enemies are close makes this redundant, and annoying outside of combat.
Cataclysm
- Ender Guardian damage multiplier: 1.0 -> 1.5.
- Ender Guardian health multiplier: 1.0 -> 1.25.
combatroll
- Can now dodge roll while weapon is on cooldown. Most noticeable on slower weapons.
- Auto jump during rolls is turned off, providing no advantage for having the option on vs off.
- Dodge cooldown is now 2.5 seconds.
- Exhaustion is much greater, equivalent to 1.5 times jumping while running.
- Roll time when player cannot act again decreased to 6, allowing acting right out of a roll!
- Max level of Longfooted is now 3, with 1.0 per level, maxing at 3 additional blocks. (Double length.)
- Max level of Acrobat decreased from 10 to 5.
- Acrobat multiplier increased to 0.125. (Total 1.25 sec. cooldown reduction.)
- Max level of multi-roll decreased to 1.
- Enchantment costs reworked. Multi-roll is especially expensive.
DisenchantingForge
- Disenchanting selects a random enchantment, keep removing and re-adding an item (or the books) to remove a desired enchant. (So for example, keep re-placing a Pickaxe to remove Silk Touch specifically.) Proper selection is in a future update.
- Disenchanting resets anvil work costs when fully disenchanting. (At the moment this is broken and resets from only one removal)
Epic Knights
- Disabled Hard difficulty armor equipping so that a Mummy spawning from Rotten Creatures doesn't explode the universe.
Extra Golems
- Extra Golems are spawned at a 20% instead of 60% rate by villagers, making iron farms more reliable.
Fastbench
- Recipe book turned on.
Fixed Anvil Repair Costs
- Repairing now costs 1 level per repair instead of 3. Fully repairing is now 3 levels and 3 materials. I wanted to make even unenchanted repairs worth doing.
It Takes A Pillage
- Disabled clay golem spawns for compatibility.
Infernal Mobs - Disabled Sticky, Ender, Regen, and Ninja effects. (No more teleporting to dodge, dropping items attacked with, and absurd regen.)
- Health modifier nerfed to 0.75 instead of 1.0. They should be less spongey now.
- Elite drops added: Everlasting Beef, Scarf of Invisibility, Charm of Sinking, Night Vision Goggles, Thorn Pendant, Flame Pendant, Pocket Piston, Flame Gauntlet, Universal Attractor, Aqua Dashers, Kitty Slippers, Whoopee Cushion, Spirit Orb x2.
- Elites no longer drop Cookies.
- Ultra and Infernal mobs no longer give Chainmail armor (Elites still do.)
- Ultra no longer drops Iron Hoe.
- Drop weights as a whole have been evened out.
Ultra entries: 22 artifacts, 19 melee weapons, 18 items, 12 armors, 4 shields, 4 Bows. Most items each have 4 entries, with the 4th having double drops!
Infernal entries: 20 Melee weapons, 14 artifacts, 8 armors, 6 items (one normal drops, one 2x drop entries), 4 Longbows, 4 tools, 4 Shields. - Ultra drops added: Spirit Orb x4, Snorkel, Umbrella, Plastic Drinking Hat, Panic Necklace, Shock Pendant, Digging Claws, Obsidian Skull, Helium Flamingo, Steadfast Spikes, Flippers, Cloud in a Bottle. Steel medieval weapons. Jousting and frog-helm armors. Goddess Statue, Horned Statue.
- Infernal drops added: Goddess Statue, Horned Statue, Novelty Drinking Hat, Villager Hat, Superstitious Hat, Lucky Scarf, Cross Necklace, Feral Claws, Digging Claws, Power Glove, Golden Hook, Vampiric Glove, Crystal Heart, Antidote Vessel, Bunny Hoppers, Running Shoes. Diamond medieval weapons. Maximilian armors. Longbow.
- Infernal no longer drops Ender Pearls.
- Infernal drops 2 enchanted books instead of 1.
- Chance for Ultra (when becoming Elite/Rare) raised to 20%.
- Chance for Infernal (when becoming Ultra) raised to 50%.
End result: 15% Elite, ~3% Ultra, ~1.5% Infernal.
Just Another Rotten Flesh to Leather Mod
- Enabled hardmode mode for JRFTL, so it takes 4 rotten flesh then smelting.
Naturally Charged Creepers
- Chance lowered from 0.1 to 0.05. Charged creepers are rare again.
SimplyTools
- Buffed tool durability from x1.5 to x2.33. 3x3 tools' durability now matches the resources put in.
Simple Uncrafting Table
- Uncrafting now costs 80 XP apiece. (About 1 level at 25+ levels, or 7 at level 7.)
- You can no longer uncraft damaged items, preventing free repairs.
starterkit
- Changed starting gear to a leather suit except a helmet (6 armor to start), a set of wooden tools, 8 Bread, and 8 Torches in the offhand.
Waystones
- Minimum XP cost to teleport is now 3 levels.
- Maximum cost is 5.
- Dimensional warping cost is 5 levels.
- Warpstones have a cost multiplier of 1.0.
- Warp Plates have a cost multiplier of 0.5. (Due to the manual linking required.)
- No inventory button
- Dimension allowed list emptied; ALL dimensions contain waystones!
- Disabled JourneyMap waypoints, since we use Xaero's.
- Leashed entities don't add any cost. Bring your pets free of charge!
Wither Skeleton Tweaks
- Immolation Blade nerfed from 13 damage to 10. Still greater than the "better than Netherite" sword by Oh The BYG, and still 1-shots Skeletons.
- Immolation Blade attack speed nerfed down to normal sword attack rate instead of 2.
DefaultConfigs (World Specific)
Artifacts
- Vampire Gloves: Drain lowered from 0.2 to 0.1. Cap lowered from 6 to 2. (1 heart)
Create
- By default, spawners are allowed to move by contraptions. Feel free to collect them for mob farms!
EasyMagic
- All enchantments are shown now rather than just one on vanilla enchantment tables.
- EasyAnvils
- Prior Work Penalty is 3 levels per operation.
- Max allowed level is 100. If "Too expensive!" ever occurs, use a disenchanting forge to reset the costs.
- Break chance is raised from 0.05 to 0.10 (Still lower than vanilla's 0.12)
- Anvil repairing disabled as another Anvil mod covers that.
Enchanting Infuser
- Both variants can only enchant unenchanted gear. I feel like getting to high levels wasn't rewarding anymore since you could do one enchant at a time at 7 to 18 levels.
- Advanced infuser maximum cost raised from 20 to 80.
- Normal infuser max cost raised from 20 to 80.
- Modded enchantments are counted in the calculation now.
- In English, this makes fully enchanting a piece of ultimate gear about 43 to even 63 levels.
- Advanced infuser no longer enchants Books. They still can repair with flat costs which is important late-game. With cheap enchant resets using Lapis at a regular enchantment table and seeing all enchants, it's much more manageable to get enchants you want. (Also Lapis is still useful late-game this way.)
MajruszEnchantments
- Nerfed Dodge's chance from 12.5% per level to 6% per level.
Known Issues
- Viewing a recipe for an item inside the Uncrafting Table slot crashes the client.
- No Chat Reports verify icon and Better Compatibility Checker (BCC) icon overlap in server menu; can still see BCC if you mouse over around the bottom.
Wither Skeleton Tweaks config is not read properly server-side, resulting in the nerf to Immolation Blades having no effect on dedicated servers.A little embarassing; I didn't realize the Immolation Blade in question had Sharpness V on it, adding 3 attack damage and bringing it up to the original 13.
In 10.2 onwards, the blade is further reduced from 10 to 8 damage (Netherite level) making it essentially a Netherite Sword that specializes against skeletons.- I've had the nether crash on servers rarely. It's a concurrent modification during ticking entity with mob goals (basically, the AI actions to take) by two threads at the same time. No idea what causes this. Update: It says a Wither Skeleton. Wither Skeleton Tweaks doesn't touch that so it's not the cause.
Recommended PvP Mods
- Nexus (Tower Defense Battle Mode) - New game mode. FTB (an alternative modpack installer) doesn't like this mod. MultiMC relies on FTB for setup, so this is removed in v8.0 onwards.

Version Numbers Info: Versions will always be named after compatibility. (That is, 1.2 can play with 1.1, etc. If I run out of numbers I can add a 3rd digit.
Note: Not fully tested, may have unforeseen bugs. I've been playing on a server with my pals for a while with no major issues though, so it seems stable enough! :)
