📥 Installation Guide (Forge 1.20.1)

1. Install Forge 1.20.1

Download from:
https://files.minecraftforge.net/net/minecraftforge/forge/

2. Install the Modpack

1. Download the modpack .zip from CurseForge.
2. Open the CurseForge App → Create Custom Profile → Import.
3. Select the modpack file.
4. Launch the profile.

3. Recommended Optional Mods (Manual Install)

These greatly improve QOL, visuals, and performance:

• Entity Culling
• Skinlayers 3D
• Create: Oxidized

Place each .jar file into:
/minecraft/Instances/MilkfishSMP/mods/

4. Recommended Resource Packs

Install these into your Resource Packs folder:

• Enhanced Boss Bars
• Fresh Animations
• Fresh Animations: Extensions

Then in Minecraft:

1. Go to Options → Resource Packs
2. Load them in this order:
   
   • Fresh Animations
   • Fresh Animations: Extensions
   • Enhanced Boss Bars
3. Restart the game.

Does the pack require a strong PC?

No—Embeddium, ModernFix, and FerriteCore optimize performance.

Are shaders supported?

Yes. Oculus is included.
(Some Create machines may reduce shader performance.)

Is the pack beginner-friendly?

Yes—immersive, not punishing.
The Sculk Horde only becomes dangerous if ignored.

Will the Sculk Horde destroy bases?

It can spread aggressively if unmanaged.
Managing outbreaks is part of the SMP narrative.

Do I need a new world?

Yes. Worldgen features require a fresh world.

Singleplayer or multiplayer?

Built for SMP, but works in singleplayer.
