Description
This is my second hardcore pack. After I created the first pack, I found that it was very difficult (which is fine) but not very fun (which is not fine). After completing that pack, and deciding not to play it, I moved on to another pack that I made: a Personal Pack. It was fun, but I felt it was missing something: difficulty. With difficulty comes a strong sense of accomplishment. Killing a swarm of zombies feels much more satisfying when all of the zombies are armed, armored, smarter, and have more health. But too much difficulty leads to a sense of frustration, and the feeling that you can't accomplish anything, no matter how many times you die. That was one of the two main issues with TheFearofTime-DayandNight. Starving to death, freezing to death, dehydrating to death, having mobs break into your base to death. This pack should fix that. Initially I intended to include Hunger Overhaul and Tough as Nails, but after careful consideration I decided to omit them. I also kept Epic Siege Mod out of the pack. The other issue with my previous pack, and with hardcore packs in general is that they are relatively boring. Every mod just makes it more difficult, while adding no interesting new features. This pack fixes that. After hours of play-testing, and over a week of hard work and development, I present the MJSII-Hardcore pack. With a focus on hardcore and adventure, this pack offers much in the way of exploration. The modpack has structures: Recurrent Complex (with dozens of custom structures), Ruins, Battle Towers, Roguelike Dungeons, Doomlike Dungeons. Mobs: Infernal Mobs, Fish's Undead Rising, Better Animals Plus, Familiar Fauna, Ice and Fire, Lycanites Mobs, Mowzies Mobs, Mystical World, Primitive Mobs, Wings Horns and Hooves, Rough Mobs. Tools, Weapons Accessories: Aquaculture, Armor Plus, Baubles, Baubleicious, Better Combat Rebirth, Bountiful Baubles, Death Compass, Dungeon Tactics, Heroic Armory, Hexxit Gear, Nature's Compass, Op Weapons, Potion Rings, Spartan and Fire, Spartan Shields, Spartan Weaponry, Switch Bow, The Last Sword You Will Ever Need, Vulcanite, Xp tome. Magic: Animus, Apotheosis, Bewitchment, Blood Arsenal, Blood Magic, Electroblobs Wizardry (and two addons), Enchanting Plus, Extra Alchemy, Potion Core, Quality Tools, Reliquary, Roots, So Many Enchantments, Vampirism. Interesting XP options: Level Up Reloaded, Reskillable, XP From Harvest. Nice experience/ quality of life: HWYLA, Weather Storms and Tornadoes, JEI, Serene Seasons, Dynamic Surroundings, Better Foliage, Inventory Tweaks, Mouse Tweaks, Music Player. Dimension Mods: Daedalus Doors, The Twilight Forest, Abbysalcraft. MEGA MODS: Quark, Cyclic, Toroquest, Openblocks, Extra Utilities, Ancient Warfare 2. Base building/ storage: Chisel, Bibliocraft, Chisel and Bits, Storage Drawers, Iron Chests, Iron Backpacks. Bloodmoon, Waystones. Nearly all mods have been configured, and many recipes have been changed. For the ultimate challenge, change your difficulty to hard. Then try to fight some Lycanites Mobs. Please enjoy.
