Description
Getting bored of vanilla Minecraft? Play Mococoa!
Compiled by Wlxtee, Mococoa not only enhances the vanilla aspects of Minecraft; it expands beyond it! Ranging from a visual overhaul, remastered world generation, or even reworked combat, this modpack is guaranteed to satisfy if you're looking to experience Minecraft in a new yet familiar way.
In this modpack, you will get an exciting experience of monsters becoming stronger by equipping better weapons, and having better stats. Special items called shards can be used to craft Heart Crystals, which you can use to increase your max health above 10 hearts! Combat has been greatly improved thanks to additional melee weapons as well as unique bows and arrows. The generation of the whole world will change as the Overworld, Nether, and the End will have totally new biomes and structures built for them!
And there's so much more (backpacks, quivers, QoL, etc.)! Are you interested in Mococoa? You can start playing now by downloading the modpack through the CurseForge app! 🍫🧡
Important Notes
- I, Wlxtee, did not make any of the mods, resource packs, and shaders within this modpack, and basically my only real contribution to this modpack's creation is putting everything together, the config files, default options, and giving the modpack a fancy name. Fun fact, the name Mococoa is actually a The Truman Show reference!
- The primary reason for me uploading this modpack to CurseForge and Modrinth was to make sharing my personal modpack with friends and family significantly easier, as well allowing them to update the modpack a lot more seamlessly. I don't ever plan on Mococoa being an "official" or big modpack project in the long run. Sorry!

Mococoa: Revisualized (1.3), the third major update of Mococoa, has released, introducing major visual overhauls and changes, fresh particles and animations, new game mechanics (e.g., overhauled burn system, desire paths), and crafting recipe/armor hotfixes. Below is the changelog for Revisualized’s first release, version 1.3:
- Nature X: Overhauls nature visuals, including biome-specific enhancements, 3D flora and ores, new particle effects, improved block and item visuals, and much more.
- Added smooth and immersive block/entity animations and visual polish across many interactables, including doors, trapdoors, fence gates, levers, buttons, repeaters, cauldrons, composters, lecterns, campfires, chiseled bookshelves, jukeboxes, bells, end portal frames, vaults, and chests.
- Overhauled fire mechanics to make them more realistic and destructive.
- You can now upgrade regular Netherite equipment to Pure Emerald Netherite equipment.
- Hearts are now in ore tiers! First row of hearts are the normal red hearts, second is golden, third is iron, and the fourth and final row is diamond; in this case, row count is no longer visible.
- Guess what? There's a mini-map now! Note that you cannot expand the map, or open a fullscreen world map. For now..? Both the mini-map and coordinates HUD hide together.
- Using The Roads More Travelled mod, there is now a gradual erosion system to the terrain you walk on, creating paths and roads automatically based on where players walk.
- Re-added Fresh Animations and Fresh Moves.
- Added Bedrock Edition's Elytra flight cancelling features.
- Re-added Camera Overhaul.
- Added a new armor HUD.
- Revamped campfire smoke system.
- Re-added Visuality.
- Re-added immersive hotbar animations.
- Re-added cooler looking explosions.
- Mococoa's default shader pack is now I Like Vanilla, and they are now enabled by default. You can always disable them in Video Settings!
- Added Enhanced Celestials shader support: Lunar events should now render correctly when shaders are enabled.
- Improvements to HUD while riding a mount.
- Chat messages appear with a smooth animation.
- Added particle effects and visuals for inventory items.
- A star symbol next to enchanted item tooltips now appear when they reach their max level.
- Added 43 extra sounds villagers can make.
- Added tumbleweeds.
- Added particles to more interactions in the game, such as placing blocks or stripping logs.
- Previously unmentioned in the last changelog: Version 1.2.3 adds the Reach-Around block placement feature, previously unique to Bedrock Edition.
- Removed Incapacitated. You are no longer given second chances at death.
- Removed all additional built-in shader support (excluding the default shader pack mentioned), but users can still install and use shader packs as much as they please!
- Simplified rain and snow particles; removed Particle Rain.
- Fixed Bedrockify keybind and Traveler's Backpack keybind conflicts.
- The grave/tilde key is now used for opening the coordinates HUD screen (used for copying coordinates).
- Icons for hidden potion effects are no longer displayed on the potions HUD.
- The selection block outline is now only visible whenever relevant.
- Fixed an issue where you were able to upgrade your Emerald-trim Dragon Chestplate to a Winged Dragon Chestplate with a regular Dragon scale (an Elytra should be the required ingredient).
