Some guidance for your journey.
- Tool ⚒️ progression has been reworked! Upon starting you'll notice that wooden and stone toolsets are gone, and many new ores have been unearthed. Flint, Tin and more ores can now be found and crafted into toolsets. And that's not all, several toolsets now require ingots and bars to craft, like Diamond! This slows down the early phase where players could go from wood to diamond toolsets in the span of 30 minutes.
- Stronger Enemies! 💢 You may notice the all too familiar hostile mobs have gained some new moves. Watch out! Zombies and Spiders can now dash, Drowned swim faster and can pull you under water, Pillagers have stronger weapons, and many more mobs and bosses are much stronger in different ways. Many new friends and foes also roam the land, some returning from lost mob votes, to cut content, and even Minecraft Lore.
- Combat ⚔️ has been overhauled to flow more smoothly. When you're fighting your next target, make sure to press R to dodge incoming attacks! You'll also notice some new weapons found around the world, such as the Battleaxe, which is a slow but powerful two-handed weapon located deep below the surface. The Amethyst Shield, which has it's own unique abilities, such as double jump and sliding. And lastly, upon dying you'll keep important items, tools and armor, making the sprint back to your other dropped items much less stressful.
- Enchanting 🔮 is more balanced and rewarding! Instead of finding enchanted books or throwing your tool in an enchantment table and hoping for the best, now you choose which enchantments you'd like to apply. Different enchantments require different materials and items, so take note and get to crafting, mining, and exploring!
- Dimension 🌌 progression has also seen a rework. No longer can you speedrun to the Nether or End! To incentivise exploration, players must seek out a Ruined Portal and repair it to enter the Nether. Don't worry, these structures are pretty common, and there's some new and improved ways of transport you can use to make your trips to them even shorter. The End has also seen similar treatment. Throughout your world you'll discover Ancient Eyes that must be used to open the end portal. These eyes can be found in almost every structure, so keep your "eyes" peeled.
- Structures 🏰 have been overhauled to be more rewarding to discover. Find invaded castles, lost remnants, sprawling dungeons and more throughout your journey, with many of them having new vanilla style bosses guarding their enhanced loot and rewards. New Taverns also provide a new way of questing! Talk to the Barkeep Villager and level your trades to unlock maps for these new structures.
A few things to note before you start...
As you play you'll discover many new features that are not mentioned here on the modpack page. I've tailored this modpack to be new player friendly while also providing a challenge, incentivising players to discover things on their own as if playing Minecraft for the first time again. If you are having difficulties, there are ingame tools such as EMI you can use to discover recipes. You may also feel free to look up the coresponding items mod pages' for more info. Also, be sure to familiarize yourself with the keybinds as there are plenty of new controls and actions. Lastly, every modpack has issues and bugs. Please be mindful of quirks as you play, and be aware that any issues will most likely be resolved in future versions.
