About
Description
A tech/exploration modpack designed to be friendly to beginners and veterans alike.
Intended to be a semi-light pack that recreates the Tekkit experience in 1.16, though it has distanced significantly from that root. Originally based off of the modlist for ATM: SLOP, though it has since become something quite different.
It is largely based around exploration and tech progression.
Through the rich diversity of Biomes O' Plenty, with Valhesia Structures and Lost Cities (using the custom "Jazzy" preset) sprinkled around to provide somewhat rare points of interest in this old, abandoned world. Quark holds the world up with its excellent cave generation and big dungeons, and Tetra has its own say in what you may find while Spelunking...
Mekanism, Create, and Botania each provide a very unique take on "the tech mod", which is why I've included them all here. I didn't want any single homogenous style of mod that would be boring and flat for a veteran, or abrasive and unapproachable for a beginner. There's a flavor for just your taste.
A core tenet of this pack is that it should be played how you want to play it.
From your very first Stone tools, you can begin modifying and customizing your tools to your exact preferences with Tetra. You can follow the tech trees of Botania, Mekanism, or Create, or mash them together in interesting ways, depending on your fancy. If the idea of a complex customized automation system for resource generation sounds too daunting, Industrial Foregoing and Mystical Agriculture can ease you through any resource requirement. Extreme Reactors provides high-level RF generation if Mekanism's Reactors are a bit too spicy for your liking. We have Chisels n' Bits, Building Gadgets, as well as The Mighty Architect with the Schematicannon, along with a huge variety of blocks to get creative building with, just so you can follow your own sense of balance and fun with building. And as a capstone to creativity and customization in this pack, ComputerCraft and Psi offer wildly exciting possibilities to those willing to learn their systems, and could fill an entire playthrough themselves. Get creative!
The Unity resource packs (Vanilla and Modded) are recommended, though all mods present already have aesthetics that mesh with Vanilla.
Credit to Pamela Collins (MatrexsVigil) and Rhodox of the Painterly Pack, for their excellent production of Pam's HarvestCraft.
